Why is the site called "Chicken" Smoothie...

and I can't even adopt any chickens?

It was called so Silent Wolf Kennelz then Petz games and now Chicken Smoothie I think.

This site has always been chicken smoothie. It is called chicken smoothie because Tess likes chickens, and she had a bunch of sites before this, and this one is like all of them mixed together like a smoothie.
At least that's what I heard. I am pretty sure Tess said that at some point, I am just too lazy to find the actual quote.

Why Chicken Smoothie? How did you come up with such a name?

I think CS started around April 2008, but it was called Silent Wolf Kennelz (SWK) for the first month or two because it was a different website back then (a fan site for the Ubi Soft/P.F. Magic 'Petz' game series). I was hosting it on the chickensmoothie.com domain name even when it was called SWK because 'chickensmoothie' used to be my username, and after a while I just named the site after the domain so I could get rid of the SWK title (it embarrassed me) this is why the site's name has nothing to do with the content

Can you make Hedgehogs/llamas/other animals?
Our artists will give us new animals in time, but it is because they drew something good enough to be a CS pet, not because of any suggestion. You wouldn't ask someone who is specialized in horses to draw a dog or someone who specializes in dogs to draw humans. It just wouldn't look as good as it could be.

Short version is:

The site name has absolutely nothing to do with the content. I just used to have a habit of putting 'chicken' into the name of all my websites (of which I made several, and all but this one failed)

We stick with the name because at least it is fairly unique and memorable. If we were named something relevant to the site then we'd be called something like 'Adoptable dogs and other animals'....
