When a person deeply cherishes something- so much that their soul becomes tied to it- the extraordinary can happen. That special object may begin to shimmer and sparkle with energy, infused with magic. If the love is strong enough, pure enough… the object will suddenly transform.

It becomes a Keepsie.

Keepsies are small dragon-like beings, no bigger than a housecat. They are born from love, and their hearts are forever tethered to the object that brought them into being. This object, known as their Treasure, is carried with them at all times, often lovingly curled within their tails.

A Keepsie’s bond to their Treasure is unbreakable. They protect it with their life, sleep beside it every night, and carry it with them for their entire lifespan.

But nothing lasts forever.

When a Keepsie reaches the end of their life, they do not truly disappear. Instead, all the love they poured into their Treasure remains- compounded by the love that created them in the first place. The object glows once more, warm with love and sweet memories, and in time… it becomes the heart of a new Keepsie.

And so, the cycle continues.

★ By participating in and joining Keepsies, you are agreeing to adhere to every single one of our policies and rules, regardless of the date the rule was added. You also agree to abide by any future rules implemented.

★ Follow all CS rules in Keepsies spaces, including the forum, Discord, Toyhouse, etc.

★ Your CS account must be at least 2 months old to participate in Keepsies.

★ Respect all members and staff. Harassment, guilt-tripping, excessive negativity, or backseat moderating will not be tolerated.

★ You must have a public and up-to-date Co-Op archive to officially own a Keepsie, participate in the species, or join the Discord server.

To specify: if you receive a Keepsie for free (through Litter Raffles, Treasure Trove, Events, Giveaways, etc.) and it is not added to your Co-Op Archive in some way within one month, you will be contacted regarding it's ownership. If you do not respond in a timely manner or we are unable to contact you, you forfeit rights to that Keepsie and allow it to be redistributed.

★ You may display your Keepsie anywhere (Toyhouse, forum signatures, personal sites), but it must link back to the main Keepsies thread or the official Toyhouse account.

★ Do not edit, trace, or alter any official Keepsie artwork or assets, including bases and pre-existing designs.

★ Only reach out about trades or gifts if the user has clearly stated they're open. Unsolicited messages or begging will not be tolerated.

★ It’s okay to feel disappointed, but please express it respectfully. Avoid guilt-tripping or passive-aggressive behavior in response to drops or giveaways.

★ No witch-hunting, callout attempts, or staff-targeting behavior. Accusations against staff must be brought directly to the owner or admins privately with clear evidence. Attempting to call for the removal of a staff member without proof, spreading rumors, or inciting group action against a team member with nothing to substantiate the claims is not only disruptive but also against CS rules and will result in disciplinary action.

Disciplinary Policy

★ By participating in and joining Keepsies, you are agreeing to adhere to our policies and rules.
★ Most issues are resolved with a conversation or friendly reminder.
★ There aren't an exact amount of issues that lead into an offense. Rule-breaking is handled based on severity, intent, and impact.
★ User with strikes will not be displayed publicly. A list of banned users, however, is available for trading purposes.
★ Public callouts, name-dropping, or asking why someone was banned is not allowed.
★ Actions and behavior in other spaces will be considered when making decisions regarding punishment.

Strike and Ban Process

★ Minor Issues
Examples: Minor rule misunderstandings, incorrect form use, one-off tone issues.
Handled with: A gentle reminder or informal DM. Logged internally.

★ Moderate Offenses
Examples: Ignoring warnings, disrespecting staff, unsolicited trade messages, persistent guilt-tripping, rude behavior.
Handled with: Formal warning, temporary participation restriction, internal log.

★ Major or Severe Offenses
Examples: Harassment, false accusations, scamming, deliberate plagiarism, multi-accounting, hate speech, assisting with ban evasion, retaliation, or aggression and insults.
Handled with: Immediate removal or ban from Keepsies, revocation of Keepsie ownership, loss of species-related items or currency, blacklist and permanent trading ban, possible escalation to CS moderation (if applicable), and loss of access to any Forum-related events or activities.

(Note: Some severe cases (e.g. hate speech, repeat harassment, threats) may result in an unappealable instant ban without prior warning.)

Bans and Revoked Ownership

If a user is permanently banned from Keepsies, the following applies:

★ All Keepsies and Keepsie-related items (e.g. accessories, currency) will be revoked. Staff reserve the right to rehome or redistribute these if they choose.
★ The banned user loses ownership of any Keepsies they held. Attempting to trade, gift, or claim those designs is not allowed and will not be honored. This includes attempting to trade for other UMAs.
★ All interaction with the species is prohibited. This includes: entering raffles or drops, trading, participating in events and gifting or receiving anything keepsie-related.
★ Any user who trades with a banned member (intentionally or not) may have their trade reversed, and staff cannot guarantee compensation. (If someone tries to trade you a Keepsie but claims they cannot confirm the trade in the forum or edit their Co-Op, it may be a banned user attempting fraud. Always be thorough, as we will not honor these transactions.)

Loopholes and Evasion

★ Do not attempt to dodge rules by claiming ignorance or using technicalities. Deliberate circumvention will be treated as a rule break.
★ Staff reserve the right to take action even if it isn’t explicitly listed as a rule or not allowed, especially if it's clearly disruptive, harmful, or exploitative.
★ Ban evasion or assisting someone else with avoiding their ban is prohibited.

Appeals

★ If you feel a warning or decision was made unfairly, you’re welcome to respectfully request an appeal by contacting the owner or an admin. Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, not all decisions- especially those involving serious breaches- are eligible for reversal.

★ A: At this time, we’re not planning to create an official Keepsies Toyhou.se page

Q: "Why weren't the results for XYZ posted? Isn't it due today?"
★ A: Please keep in mind that for front page litters, the time posted on the litter is
when the raffle closes- not when winners are anticipated to be chosen. Results for
any sort of raffle or game- such as the Discussion Prompts- will not always be posted
immediately after closing. Results will be posted whenever we have time to do so.
Please have patience. Though if a significant amount of time has passed since entries
closed (like a week or more): feel free to ask us about it by opening a ticket or
messaging a staff member privately.

Q: "Why is the image for my Keepsie broken/not working?"
★ A: Majority of the time this is due to Imgbb (the image host that we use for Keepsies)
being down for maintenance. It will fix itself eventually and there's no need to worry!
If it's been a while and your image is still not working, please feel free to let us know
by opening a ticket in our server, or messaging a staff member privately.

Q: "When will Staff Applications be open?"
★ A: We will open staff applications whenever we notice a decline in staff activity, or
whenever we notice we are falling behind on certain duties so that we can get more
people on-board to assist us with the workload. TLDR; we will open staff apps whenever
we have a need for more staff!

Q: "When is the Line Archive being updated?"
★ A: We currently do not have any plans to update the forum line archive, as we are
working toward moving the line archive onto our website instead. Please have
patience while we work on this as it may take some time. Until then, feel free to
use this to view all the lines we have available for now.

Q: "How long will it take for my dress-up form to be completed?"
★ A: There is not a single time estimate for when your form will be completed. Please
have patience and trust that it will be finished when our general helpers have time.

Q: "Can I remove an item from my Keepsie after it's been dressed up?"
★ A: We cannot remove items from finished dress-ups, but we can add on top of most
of them. If you want your dress-up completely re-made to remove an item, you will
have to start a new form.

Q: "I think I was skipped, what should I do?"
★ A: Please reach out to a Staff member either through PMs or in our Discord to ask
about it, it could have been a mistake on our end- but if not, we will be happy to
clarify what was incorrect on your form.

Q: "How do I earn badges?"
★ A: Badges are awarded in different ways- such as reaching milestones, participating
in events, or being present for special moments. Some badges may only be available
for a limited time. The best way to earn badges is to be a loyal and active member of
the community!

Q: "Are badges tradeable?"
★ A: Badges are non-transferable. They cannot be traded or given to anyone else.

Q: "What do badges do?"
★ A: Badges are a fun cosmetic for your Co-Op profile! You can collect them, show
off, or just add some sparkle to your profile.

Q: "Can I put my badge on my Keepsie?"
★ A: Badges are not wearable items, just achievements made for displaying in your
Co-Op!

Q: "How will I know if I've earned one?"
★ A: Staff will not notify you on whether or not you've earned a badge, it's up to
you to read the descriptions of the badges we have available to see if you are
eligible to claim them. If you are, submit the Free Item Claim form here and attach
the respective proof to show Staff that you earned it. Then, you can add it to your
Co-Op! Staff will only reach out to you if there is an issue with the proof you gave.

Q: "Can I lose a badge once I've earned it?"
★ A: Generally no, badges are permanent! The only exception would be if a badge
was awarded in error or due to rule-breaking, or if a user is banned. So, if you got
the badge for obtaining your first Keepsie, and you trade that Keepsie away, the
badge will still be yours.

Q: "Can I earn the same badge more than once?"
★ A: No, each badge can only be earned once per account.

Q: "Do event badges ever come back?"
★ A: Most event badges are exclusive to that year or event and will not return.
If we ever do reruns, they’ll have a different design- or at least have edits made-
to distinguish them.

Q: "Can I suggest new badge ideas?"
★ A: Yes! We love hearing ideas. You can share your suggestions in the Discussion
thread.
