Happy Pride, paleontologists! Courtesy of our geneticist, raiden, we're happy to let you know that there's some free Pride Flags in store! There are 43 variations, as well as a grey/blank flag for us to edit in your flag of choice if it isn't already included <3 You can grab them from the 'Limited Items' section of our store! These will be available until the end of July.

Our Moderator Applications are now open! We're looking for a few people to join the team before our summer event begins. Please read the post before applying, as it contains information about staff roles and requirements. We hope to see your name on the thread! You are welcome to apply again if you have in the past.

Additionally, there's a new system we have for signatures on breeding outcomes. IDs on breeding outcomes prior to ID 884 will use the old version (P = parent 1 signature colours, S = parent 2 signature colours, ❤︎ = artist colours), but all outcomes going forward will follow this template:


"P" = parent 1's colours
"S" = parent 2's colours
❤︎ = artist's signature colours
This change was made to prevent confusion on who exactly worked on the outcome(s) of a pairing. If you have any questions, let us know!

✦ you can display your paleosprites anywhere, however the images cannot be altered (flipped, resized, drawn
over) and should link back to either this thread or the toyhouse! however, cropping for profiles is allowed.

✦ accounts less than 2 months old cannot participate in paleosprites due to multiaccounting and/or ban bypassing concerns.

✦ foddering is not allowed - this is defined by obtaining a paleosprite for the sole purpose of trading it. this includes trades for CS currencies, art, and umas.

✦ you must have an up-to-date archive to own any paleosprite! either use the co-op archive or host your own, which must be linked in the co-op archive.

✦ do not contact other users for trades unless explicitly and recently advertised in the forum or trading channel on discord.

✦ there are trading, buying, expedition, discord, and custom/breeding specific rules. please read those before posting on their respective threads!

✦ do not share or display paleosprites you do not own on your archives and profiles. this includes the parents of breeding outcomes and/or their siblings. [added 26/06/2026]

strikes and bans will be handled by our moderation team in a 3 warning system.

reminder(s) -> official warning 1 -> official warning 2 -> potential suspension/ban

offences that include but are not limited to nsfw/endangerment/gore/tracing/theft will result
in an instant species ban, and you will no longer be permitted to participate in paleosprites.

what will happen to my paleosprites if I receive a ban?
✦ you will still own your paleosprites as paleosprites. you can trade them or gift them, but you cannot participate in paleosprites as a species any longer. you will be removed from the discord server, you cannot participate in expeditions, excavations, raffles, buy things and/or apply things from the store, trade in items directly, or requests customs from artist openings.

what happens if I receive multiple reminders for the same issue?
✦ if it's not something that facilitates a warning or ban, you make have your permissions temporarily revoked in the relevant area.
