∙ Don’t claim horses you don’t own
∙ Your CS account must be at least two months old in order to participate in Pixel Herd (ADDED 4/9)
∙ Do not edit the Pixel Herd base, or your owned horses’ images in any way
∙ You are not allowed to trace over the base for any reason (ADDED 4/9)
∙ A post within our co-op archive is required to own any horses (ADDED 4/9)
∙ Be sure to read and follow the rules and info on each of our threads
∙ No mini-modding, guilt-tripping, trauma dumping, etc. in threads or our Discord server
∙ Do not adopt horses just to fodder/trade them away immediately after cooldowns end
∙ Remember to be kind and respectful to each other and our staff members
∙ Do not use images of horses you do not own for any purposes without permission (ADDED 4/27)

How can I get a Pixel Horse of my own?

Answer:
Once you have a co-op stable, there are a few different ways to get horses! The easiest way is to watch for herds posted in the thread and apply to adopt one! Artists will occasionally open up custom slots on the custom thread! You may also join our Discord server to participate in off-thread giveaways and games where horses might be given away as prizes. Last, but not least, you can also trade for horses as well!

I am interested in applying for a position on the staff team. Are you accepting applications?

Answer:
Generally speaking, when we are actively hiring, we will post an announcement here and on our Discord server! The announcement will list specifics of what positions we are looking to fill at that time. If nothing is posted about us currently hiring, we're more than likely not looking to add any new faces to the team just yet!

More about staff applications can always be found here when they are open!

Is there an archive for past breedings and customs?

Answer:
Yes, there is one for breeding outcomes! Please keep in mind that much of it is a work-in-progress as we transition to new ownership!
There is no archive of customs, and I do not plan to create one dedicated to all past, present, and future custom horses.

I entered for a specific horse from the herd, why didn't I get it?

Answer:
Every herd posted on our main thread will be entered into a raffle! This means that no matter if you enter for one horse or all of the horses, your name gets put into a drawing alongside everyone else who entered for the same horses. Whoever's name gets picked from the drawing gets the horse! We will never have FCFS litters on Pixel Herd and will generally try to stay away from FCFS anything to try and give everyone a fair and equal chance at getting something!

Do I have to have a post in the co-op stables to participate?

Answer:
Yes, you must have a post that is kept up to date in our species co-op archive for staff to access and find easily! In your post, you must include your CS username and CS ID, and keep track of your horses there as well. You can have off-thread and/or off-site archives as well, but your species-specific archive must remain up to date so staff can easily confirm necessary information without having to hunt/search.

· Information regarding users with strikes or bans will not be listed publicly. If a banned user
· Users who are banned from the species may keep all owned horses unless they were earned via multi-accounting or other unfair means. Horses owned by banned users will no longer be considered official, and they are not to be used to interact with the species in any way. However, upon the user's request, they can be presented with the option to have a staff member gift any unwanted horses away or donate them to the shelter.
· We understand accidents happen, and all situations will be judged on a case-by-case basis by our entire team of staff before decisions are made.
· Any form of behavior considered to be a "loophole" around existing rules may still receive punishment even if an exact rule wasn't violated.
· Mistreatment of staff in any way will always result in an immediate strike

Reminders → Official Warning #1 → Official Warning #2 → Strike #1 → Strike #2 → Bans

- A Short written warning for minor infractions such as spam, use of foul language, minor rule breaks, etc.
- Two reminders on the same issue will lead to your first official warning

- Two reminders on the same issue will result in your first official warning
- Some issues may lead directly to an official warning without reminders being given
- Handed out for mild to moderate rule breaking or repeated actions after reminders were given
- Two official warnings, even for differing issues, will lead to a strike

- Strikes are received after a user has been given two official warnings
- Two strikes may lead to a temporary or permanent ban
- Handed out for moderate to major or repeated rule-breaking

- After two strikes you may receive a temporary ban depending upon the behavior being addressed
- Temporary bans may prohibit someone from trading, trail rides, talking in our server, adopting, etc.
- Temporary bans are not permanent and may be lifted after a time period passes
- Judged on a case-to-case basis

- Depending on the severity of actions, two strikes may lead you to a permanent ban
- Permanent bans prohibit you from participating in anything relating to Pixel Herd
- Major rule breaks or concerns may lead to immediate permanent bans without strikes being given
- Multi-accounting, being caught foddering, hate speech, art theft, and acts of violence are some examples of immediate permanent bans
- Judged on a case-to-case basis
- Permanent bans cannot be appealed
