General FAQ
1.Where do I credit my Leaf Rabbit on TH?
We ask that you credit the LR TH itself! all artists will be listed in the litter folders and each leaf rabbit they've made!
2.I was first in claiming a FCFS but didn't get it?
That could be a number of reasons! Your account might not be old enough to participate, you might not have a co-op or may have edited your claim post, I may have just missed it altogether! Its recommended to check over our rules regarding FCFS litters and reach out to a staff member if you're still unsure!
3.Leaf Rabbits hasn't updated in a while, is this UMA dead or inactive?
No! The UMA isn't inactive, I'm just a bit slow when it comes to updating things on it due to irl circumstances
4.I really want to ___ but the forum for it is empty or doesn't exist yet!
Worry not, were working hard behind the scenes to figure out how we want to format our more technical forum pages! It will not be empty forever, we just need to figure out how we want it to look and function!
5.Ive noticed an error in a forum/codepost, what do I do?
Reach out to me and let me know! if a link isn't working, some code looks fudged, you think you've been skipped or missed, or plenty of other things, please let us know ASAP so we can fix it and get it right!
Species FAQ
1.Are they rabbits?
No, actually! Much like the Peacock Mantis Shrimp, the Leaf Rabbit was named after its characteristics!
2.Okay so they aren't rabbits... What are they, then?
Leaf Rabbits are a form of plant or forest spirit! If you want something to compare it to, think Ghibli style forest spirits, cropping up in healthy habitats
3.Can their ears and tail fall off?
Yes! their ears and tails fall off if needed throughout the colder months to mimic the tree, or other plants, natural shedding cycle! this does not hurt the Leaf Rabbit but it DOES make it harder for them to hear and balance
4.Where do they live?
Leaf Rabbits live in a variety of plants and environments, from the massive redwoods down to the delicate rose, from the dry cactus to the ever wet lily pad, though they are most often found in trees
5.Okay so how big are they?
They can range in size, though the biggest found are only a couple inches, excluding ear height, and those ones typically are found in redwoods!
6.What are baby Leaf Rabbits called?
Baby Leaf Rabbits are called Kitlets! the word mixed kits, a baby rabbit, with Leaflet, a fresh leaf!
7.Do they make noise / Can they speak?
Yes but not in a way humans can hear or understand! Think of it kind of like how cats and other animals communicate! We cant really hear them all the time, but they're still talking to each other! With Leaf Rabbits, they rely a lot on verbal communication, usually in the form of chittering, chirps, squeaks, etc.) rather than body language, given that their ears and tail are known to drop!
