Scientific name: Canis Stella

Celests are a mammal that fall within the Canidae family. Despite their striking resemblance, though, they are not to be mistaken for a normal canine. With their long fur, bushy tails and upright ears, their most striking feature are their two sets of horns. The larger of these pairs seem to have a sparkling star at the tip. First generation Celests are born from fallen stars, their bodies made up of the stardust that gets compacted from their impact. Upon taking a physical form, the stardust compiles in the tips of their horns, thus creating their most striking feature. It is often said that magic can be stored in the horn of a Celest, though this has yet to be proven.

Each falling star typically contains 3-7 pups, though the numbers can sometimes reach up to 10 or more. Celests can also be bred and give birth to further generations, and luckily, the stardust within their horns passes readily to each following generation. At birth, Celest pups often have a faint shimmer emitting from them due to the concentration of heavy stardust. In adolescence, their horns are only nubs upon their heads, but as they grow older, it is then that the stardust migrates and compacts to create the full length of their horns.

With as adaptable as they are, Celests be found all over the world. It is thought that their are Celests specific to certain regions and biomes, as the stardust can often mingle with the environment around them and grant them with qualities and traits that will help them in their everyday life.

★ Don't use the lineart, unless you are an artist. Celests are a closed species so please don't create your own Celests, edit existing Celests or pass off the lineart as your own.
★ No complaining, begging or rushing artists.
★ Be polite and do not minimod. Being rude or arguing won't be tolerated -- if you have an issue, please report it to a thread or site moderator rather than engaging.
★ No spamming. This includes advertisements, one word posts, and bumping the thread. Keep the thread on topic please. Marking is ok!
★ If you are going to trade your Celest, be sure to read the trading rules on the trade thread before doing so.
★ Once items are used, they will disappear from your inventory. This goes for custom tickets as well as items that are applied to Celests.

This is the adoption center where you can adopt a Celest! Each litter typically has 3-7 pups, though it is possible for there to be more or less. Some litters are raffles and others are First Come First Server (FCFS). Each litter will state which type it is. Once a litter is adopted the pups grow up into their adult forms. To adopt, fill out the form and follow the rules! Good luck adopting!

★ You can only apply for one Celest per FCFS litter, but can enter for as many as you want in raffles.

★ To post an adoption form, you must have a co-op archive post. This is to prevent users from winning Celests and then not creating a co-op archive. If you post a form without a co-op link, it will not count.

★ All the fields are required.
★ Only add the items/Celests to your archive once the purchase has been confirmed.
★ Items are not reusable. Once they have been used, they disappear from your inventory. Additionally, one item can only be used on one Celest. I.e., if you'd like all of your Celests to be holding the rainbow flag, you'd have to buy one rainbow flag for each Celest.

Guest Artist Applications
[ OPEN! ] / closed

The role of an artist involves creating litters for adoption, offering custom slots if you so choose, making Celests for events, and more! All artists will start out as guest artists, where it is expected that you make at least 2 litters during your guest artist period. After making at least 2 litters, it will then be decided on if you'd like to become a permanent artist for the species. If you'd like to become a permanent artist after being a guest artist feel free to ask! Guest artists are not able to open spots for customs or breedings.

Requirements:
★ Make at least one litter every other month.
★ Make Celest designs where colours are not jarring; line edits are clean; outer lines are dark but fit the colour scheme (black is fine for dark Celests); and inner lines are lighter. These rules are not strict; there may be exceptions. So if you're ever unsure about colors or line edits, just ask!

Permanent artist benefits:
★ 3 coins per litter Celest you make.
★ 1 shooting star custom ticket (which is redeemed with yourself) upon hire, and a shooting star custom ticket every other month that you're active.
★ Breeding and customs payments if opened.

Guest artist benefits:
★ 3 coins per litter Celest you make.
★ A reserve on one of the litters you make.
