You walk out of the main gate, and into your designated area. The Woods. You pause and make sure you have everything in your satchel. The bait, the toy, the free and normal rope, and you had the box just beside you to use when wanted. Everythings there. Good.
You walk off but stop. You scan the area briefly. You spot a few directions you can go.

A. - The heavily wooded area. (Pros: Quicker Catching. Cons: Predator Alerts)
B. - Scarcer Woodland. (Pros: Easier to See. Cons: Fewer Canines)
C. - The River Route. (Pros: Water Attracts Dogs + Meat Chance. Cons: Harder to Tame + Predators)
D. - Evenly Sprouted. (No Pros or Cons; leveled out.)
E. - Pond Area. (Pros: Extra Bait Chance. Cons: Big Fish + Violent Territorial Dogs)

You walk along the river bank before spotting a floating 'Small Dead Rodent' on the water. It's half-eaten. This is a calmer part, but it's about to reach a more rapid part of the current. This could lead you to where the dog is, but could also lure predators. Is it a risk your willing to take?

Crouching, you watch the rodent. It comes closer..closer...snagged! You pick it up to investigate it. A canine had taken a large bite out of it, as did two little pups. Sad to hear two of the mothers may have been dead..perhaps they tossed it in here to get rid of it? Well, nothing goes to waste! You put it in your satchel. (+1 Half-Eaten Small Dead Rodent)
You continue and find nothing of interest till you see a small patch of mud and two paw prints.
