Pixel Squirrels V.5

PS Adoptables is a place where you can adopt, breed, and order customized
adoptables known as Pixel Squiks and Pixel Squirrels. Though Pixel Squirrels
have been around since 2013, Pixel Squiks are a new addition to the island's
inhabitants and can now be adopted out as well.

Pixel Squiks
The Pixel Squik is a newly discovered species on Pixel Island.
These creatures are cat-sized and very peculiar; possessing
short limbs and bulky bodies, they are terrible sprinters but
can manage only a trot at fastest. Squiks of any gender are
likely to have ivory horns, though they appear more for
attracting mates than self defense.

Since Squiks were brought to the main land, they have
vastly taken over the spotlight as most popular pet -- a title
originally belonging to that of the Pixel Squirrel. But not a
lot more is known about the species, and taming one up for
adoption is bound to be a challenge. Will you try your hand
at adopting a Squik?

Pixel Squirrels

The infamous Pixel Squirrel was originally the only species of Pixel
Island that was commonly adopted as pets back on the main land.
These palm-sized animals whom lack hind legs make excellent and
very docile companions for those who wanted something easier to
manage than moretraditional pets, such as dogs.

There are many different kinds of Pixel Squirrel, ranging from what
is known as the Simple breed, to ones such as the Lionhead, the
Winged, or even the tremendously fluffy Stray. You may even
encounter Squirrels with a mutation known as "BFL", which causes
them to stop growing. These Squirrels are barely the size of a
gerbil, though bare similar likenesses to the larger breeds.

- For a limited time, you may post one adoption form for one litter every 24 hours
This means you may adopt multiple from the same or different litters, but not all at once

What is this place?
- PS Adoptables is a user-made adopt where you can adopt, breed, and order pets such as Squiks and Squirrels. More species to be added in the future!

How do adoptions work?
- Copy and paste the form located on the adoptions post, and fill it out with all the necessary information. Should you be the first person to place a form for that adoptable, your name will be placed next to the pet, and the code provided for you during the code drop.
If there is a different name besides the adopt you wanted, it just means someone asked for it before you -- but have no fear! You can post a new form for a different available pet, or snatch one from our next release.

Why do you never post litters?
- My real-life situation is a bit whack right now, and I'm trying to decide if I want to move out in January, or move across the country in March -- on top of working two jobs. That being said, I'm going to try to release litters as often as possible, but I can't provide a guaranteed schedule until things calm down for me.

How do the pay-to-adopts work?
- At Pixel Squirrels, we had a section of the store for "Store Squirrels". This is our new version of this feature! It is just like the standard adoption, but will cost you Credits to adopt one. These pay-to-adopts will also be more likely to have line-edits and animation, so keep an eye out!

Why do customs and breedings not have a waiting list?
- Since litters will be infrequent for the time being, I wanted to provide an alternative for adopters that is on demand: breedings and customs. I'm not putting a limited amount of slots because I do plan to take every order that comes my way. Things will just be on a first come, first serve basis as usual.

What happened to Pixel Squirrels? Can I still use mine from the old thread?
- I put Pixel Squirrels on a permanent hiatus while dealing with some mental health problems. This new thread is my attempt to bring it back in a much more manageable fashion.
And yes! Any adoptables from the old thread can be brought over to the new one. Just shoot me a PM to have them added to your new archive post!

Wait- what happened to the images from the old thread?
- When the image hosting website Tinypic went down, a large surplus of our old adopts' images broke. A vast majority of these aren't recoverable unless you saved the images yourself. But all Squirrels drawn by be from 2013-2017 are still on my laptop and can be recovered! You will just need to send be a message so we can sort out which ones belong to you.

Why don't you have official staff?
- On all previous incarnations of Pixel Squirrels, I've always had difficulty getting at least one member of staff to turn in their work. It was needlessly stressful for myself and them. So here, we will only be having guest staff who can work when and if they please.

Guest artist benefits:
- You are allowed to reserve one adoptable from every litter you turn in with 5+ adopts in it
- You are permitted a free basic custom after turning in one litter
OR
You are permitted a free advanced custom after turning in three litters
OR
You are permitted a free complex custom after turning in six litters

Guest mod benefits
- You will be permitted a free advanced custom after the first month of being on staff
- You will be involved in the planning process for any future events or features
- You will be able to pitch any ideas you have to ▸Atlas. at any time

Guest artist rules:
- At least 3 adoptables are required to make a litter, but there is no frequency you must submit them
- Litters cannot be multi-species, only one
- The adopts must be recognizable for the breed they are -- no excessive line edits
- You are not allowed to do your own breedings or customs except for your free one
- All adopts must have a transparent background and have a non-temporary image code

Guest mod rules:
- If I've responded to a question or problem, there is no need for you to respond as well
- Only answer what you are completely certain about, or consult ▸Atlas. for an answer beforehand
- Do not abuse your power or it will be taken away

Adoptables from litters that have not been claimed after a week may be
