a multi-species adventure pixel adopt

alaveil is a small, life-filled planet which developed similar to earth, causing it to exhibit many of the same features. it would only take a week to walk around the planet, but it still holds diverse ecosystems. its plant life is plentiful and have been known to exhibit strange features. the animals are rarely hostile towards the visiting humans, and have often been taken in as pets. outside interactions and development have caused many animals to become displaced and in need of help. in exchange, these strange creatures will show their human companions around the planet.

• rules •

be kind to everyone on this thread; there's no point
in starting an argument/fight over what's suppose
to be fun. if something comes up, don't mini-mod. i
will eventually come across it, but if it's urgent enough,
then message me about it. do not escalate the situation
by responding to something that's clearly breaking rules
and/or trying to get a rise. be patient and try not to rush
the staff on anything (kind reminders are okay after
awhile). try to keep spam and off-topic conversation to
a minimum (join the discord if you just want to chat with
other community members!). if you don't claim your adopt
within a month (giving it a name & gender), then it will be
put back up for adopting (excluding customs & paid adopts).

all species on this thread were created and drawn by
me (unless stated otherwise). theft will not be toler-
ated and will result in a ban if serious enough. i hold
the right to take away your adopts if this happens and
i deem it fit. while there is no limit to the amount of
adopts you can own, don't collect them just for the
purpose of hoarding them. adopts from here may be
posted on other sites, drawn, roleplayed with, etc.
they may be gifted and traded within the community
(with notification), but they may not be sold for any
sort of currency. you may not edit the design or image
of these adopts in any way without permission.

• locations & species •

there are many different locations for you and
your pet to explore, but they all aren't always
open at any given time. check here to see each
location on the world map.

a large forest located in the northern hemisphere. its name originates from a famous flower first discovered deep in its thicket. the southern forest contains a small lake and a spring, with a thin river stemming from the latter. the forest grows much denser in the north, with the nightly temperatures dropping drastically.

pupips
common
despite resembling mammals, pupips
are more closely related to birds.
they live in small burrows bug out by
other animals and can replicate almost
any sound that they heard deceavingly
well. their claws are blunt so they can't
climb, but they can dig.

filick
uncommon
long, short reptiles with large eyes and
two horns above their nose. their tail
is very long and capable of grabbing
objects, as well as holding their own
body weight, but normally remains
curled along their back.

astrobats
rare
very intelligent and mischievous
pollinators. while most bats are
nocturnal, these creatures live for
the sunlight, moving from flower to
flower to assure the life of many
different plants. they have been
known to mess around with humans.

creatures from both land and sea can be found along cloverfield shores. its beaches boarder along both bear-pass mountain range and boxbell thicket, stretching along through both hemispheres. it's named from the thick clovers that grow right off its sand and between the other two landmarks. the water carries dangerous riptides and a variety of life, while the shore is home to burrowing creatures and those who hunt them. it also holds a large tide pool in the north with its own small scale ecosystem.

aifins
common
aifins are small sea slugs that can grow
2-4" long. they're harmless in nature,
but are highly poisonous when eaten.
they live on the bottom of the ocean,
but may venture on land for a short
duration of time without drying out.

sealkinns
uncommon
these mammals can live both on land
and at sea, their wide front paws and
powerful tails making them excellent
swimmers. they have large amounts of
fat to keep them warm in cold waters,
causing them to move slow on land.

zardosrens
rare
zars are large, reptilian creatures that
live along the coast and hunt using
their highly venomous toxin. while they
have no eyes, they can sense movements
very well, allowing them deadly accuracy.

a large mountain range in the northernmost region rumored to be terrorized by a giant bear-like creature. while this being has never been spotted (other than big-foot like sightings), it's enough to scare away many beings wishing to explore there. while it's very chilly, no snow has ever fallen. the further up the mountains, the less life there is.

myrdos
common
goat-like creatures that have been known
to live at various altitudes. they can be
surprisingly violent if provoked, using their
strong bite and whip-like tail to protect
their young. they're very sure-footed and
have been seen scaling cliffs with ease.

torrin
uncommon
torrin are powerful creatures, possesing
strong paws and agile movements. their
backs slope downward, with their back
legs shorter than their front, and both
sexes grow long manes at their necks.

plantpacas
rare
a small, slow-moving breed of alpaca.
being solitary creatures, they're not
easily found. they're able to scale
mountains without any trouble and
grow small sprouts in their wool. they
eat nothing but various grasses.

a vast and mostly barren dessert, plagued by fog that makes it difficult to see come the later afternoons and nights. there is little plant life, and even fewer creatures whom reside here. enormous dunes separate the very few oases that are scattered among the sand. creatures here must be able to endure the heat and navigate in the thick fog.

a large island in the southern hemisphere, with multiple small island in close proximity. not much is known about is, as humans have never been able to travel to its shores. the turbulent oceans and whipping wings prevent any ship from reaching its land. its named after a type of enormous oak "oko" that is known to grow there.

a large range of rolling hills located in the southern hemisphere. it connects with a small forest near the equator and a beach to the west. while the hills are high, the slopes are gradual, allowing anyone to easily travel over them. the grass is always green and vibrant, and multiple trees are scattered across the land.

exploring is a great way for you and your pet
to find items, currency, and other creatures.
you may only explore every 3 days!!
the cool-down begins when your pet comes back.

if you want to go exploring with your pet, then fill
out this form! you can tell them which location that
you'd like them to scavenge in, as long as it's currently
open. see the open locations down below. they can
find items, currency, or even other pets! you may only
send a pet out every 3 days, beginning from when they
come back (when results are posed) this includes when
you first went exploring without a pet.

exploring without a pet guarantees that you will
find one in your chosen location, as well as a
starter pack of 50 ss and 1 of each food item.
you may only do this once; after you have a
pet you must explore with it. after you receive
your first pet, you'll be asked to give it a name
and gender.

the currency used on alaveil is succo stars!
they're actually seeds of a rare plant, but the
creatures here seem to love them. you can
use succo stars (ss) to purchase various things,
but make sure that you have enough in the bank.
the item must be in stock for you to purchase it.

food items give you a chance to tame a wild creature
when one pops up (will not be when you're exploring,
those don't need to be tamed). each creature will
have its own preferences and that will determine
your percent chance to tame it with a certain food
item. food can also be found while exploring.

artists:
looking for 2+

artists are responsible for making various creatures. the majority of these will be given out for exploring, so they should me messaged to me. rarities should be taken into consideration (more common made than uncommon and rare), and most of them should be unedited. artists may also make creatures that can be tamed, and these will be posted by the artists themselves. these should only be occasional, but can have more edits and higher rarities. you will choose how community members will tame these adopts, which can be anything within reason (ss, food, raffle, fcfs, etc.). there's no minimum amount of creatures that artists must make, but please try to make at least a few a month. you may only claim your monthly custom/myo is you make 5 designs or more. you must be capable of submitting designs with a transparent background, cropped exactly (or very close) on the edge pixels. it would be great is artists were in the discord, but it's not required.
