Éire Arabians
The Éire Arabian is a mix of egyptian arabians and the homeless horses of Ireland.
They are strong and intelligent, with a natural sense of curiosity.
Welcome to the Éire Arabians main thread!
Here you can adopt your own éire, buy tack, breed and so much more!
In the future we will also have competitions held for your éire's to enter.
Rules:
* No art theft. Make your own.
* No spamming, begging or just being plain rude.
Be a cool dude and I'll be cool back.
* Do not claim as your own species.
* The species may not be used outside of CS, unless I give the OK.
* You may only apply for two horses at once.

xThe Name:Éire [AY-re] = Ireland in Gaelic
History and Origin:Centuries ago, a ship crashed just outside of Ireland. Onboard the ship was seven egyptian arabians. As the ship sank, the horses made their way to the shore.
In time, they bred with the wild and homeless horses who roamed the lands. As the Éire Arabians grew in numbers, the people saw how beautifully the breed had developed.
To keep track of the population, a couple of horses were rounded up every year and auctioned off to people all around the world.
Naming Traditions:Éire Arabians often carry names in either arabic or gaelic. In recent years, giving horses spanish or latin names have also been popular. Here are a few links with ideas for naming your éire. 1 2 3 4
Conformation:Quite a sleek build, but with a larger chest than the average arabian. They have pointy ears and large eyes. Average nostrils and a small muzzle. They tend to have a concave profile and a noticable arched neck. The legs should be strong and muscular. Just like their ancestors, they have a natural high tail carriage
Height:Éire's should stand between 14.3 and 16 hands (145-163 cm)
Temperament:Intelligent and eager to learn. Curious, but they tend to fight rather than flee when things go wrong.
Lifespan:25-32 years. Age the horses at your own pace. Foals cannot be aged up to adults until two (2) months have passed since their birth.
Breeding Information:Both mares and stallions have five breeding slots. Mares cannot be bred after 25, while stallions can go on 'till they drop. Newly adopted éire's cannot breed until one (1) month has passed since their adoption date. Custom éire's can start breeding at once.
Colours and markings:Érie’s come in all colours and patterns, due to all of the different influences on the breed.
Uses:- List of accepted disciplines will be here -
