Why do you want this character?:
This little fox really spoke to me last round and i held myself back from trying thinking it was just how cute she is, but i cant help myself any longer! I really feel like i connect with her and the character i have planned out for her to become fits in with who i am and what i want to do!
Where will you use it, and what will you use it for?:
I will use her here on CS and she will be one of my main canine characters. She will be used mainly in art and some rping. She will also be like a companion to me and hang out in my sig alot!!

Holo is very much like a china doll with a metal frame inside and is spoiled princess attitude. She is usually sweet towards everyone but knows she is special and has to get what she wants. Holo is also very strong willed and determined in everything she does and puts in her all. When is comes to her friends and ones she loves, she is very protective and will fight for their well being. This is where her abilities come into play, she always checks the ice to be sure everyone will be safe (plays into her past). Everyone in her pack knows she is special and great and that is why she is treated like a princess. In short Holo is strong, vivacious, protective, but always gets her way.

Birth Right:
Holo was born into a very ancient and sacred pack that lived in the barrier between ice and grass. It was always cold so each fox was born with a thick coat and the fur on their legs hardened to protect them from the freezing ice and frost bite. But Holo was born special. Like her mother, Holo was born a 5-tail fox, which meant Holo was the chosen one to protect the ice barrier from melting and also keep it from freezing all the grasses before winter came. This special ability is very rare but once obtained by one fox atleast one of it's kits will inherit the power of the defender.
Growing up Holo was always left out of stuff because she is special. She has always trained hard to learn her mother's ways of protecting the others and maintaining the balance between the ice and grass. And then it happened.....

What happened:
-While Holo was in afternoon training with her mother when they heard a loud crash and one of the other foxes screamed.-
(Holo's pov)
Panic spread quickly through the pack and mother looked down at me with fear in her eyes.
"Holo, stay here. Do not leave the den. Stay down in the leaves! " she urged me to stay, but I wanted to see what was going on. So as soon as I could no longer hear her foot steps outside, I burst out of the den. I ran to were I thought the scream had come from to find a frozen fox laying dead at my mothers feet and the ice approaching our pack through the forest! The warriors surrounded my mother, my father, the lead warrior, was no where to be found. As I ran to a near-by tree to listen in, panic jolted in my heart.
"We were scouting all around the Ice like you said, to be sure it would not gain, but a north wind blew and the frozen fog came down hiding the Ice's movement!" one of the older warriors stated with fear.
A bigger fox came through, it was Irdril, my father's second in command, "I was with Remp when the fog came. He was training under me and he just could not get away! The fog is so strong this time Madame! What do we do!?" Panic again spread through the warriors, and my mother keep trying to settle them down but they continued to talk over her.
"QUUIIIEEETT!!!" She finally yelled in desperation. " I will fend back the Ice you get everyone into the meadow leave no one in the forest! if I do not make it.." She slowly turned her heard and I realized she was looking straight at me. Everyone was looking at me. My father came up behind me and stood over me, and as Irdril came, my father said "Take her and run. Protect Her."
As Irdril scooped me up, I looked back to my mother as the warriors left her. I saw a tear run down her face and she mouthed the words I'm sorry love. I screamed and kicked as she ran into the fog with my father not far behind her. We heard loud cracks coming from within the fog and as we cleared the forest the meadow was dimming with night but all was quiet. The Ice had receded.
"Irdril! Please! I need to go back! I can help!" I shrilled with desperation and sorrow. " I can help my mother! I know how!"
"NO!" Irdril stated with sheer command. Then he broke down. Tears pored down his face as he fell to the ground. Everyone started to gather around as I went to him.
"What happened? What do you know!?" I yelled at him.
"I'm so sorry Holo dear. I promised I would not tell you until the time came.." He sat up and steadied his breathing. " You were their first kit and now their only. As soon as you were born Hikono knew this day would come. Your mother tried her hardest to hold the Ice back until you were older so you could help them. She said it always happens, every 100 years. That one of the Defenders would have to sacrifice their life to hold the Ice back. And she feared when you were conceived that it would be you, but you came a day late and she was so thrilled! And then you were born with the Defender lines and she knew it was her. She would have to sacrifice her life for all of ours. But it made her so happy to see you grow and be able to train with her as long as you did.." His voice trailed off as he looked to the ground. The loss was now setting in everyone, it hurt so bad. My heart wrenched and twisted in ways I never felt. I started to cry. I cried the hardest I ever had. As the tears ran down my checks the turned to ice and fell to the green grass where they turned back to water. I just cried and let it all out. Irdril laid next to me and pulled me close to his side. And as I dozed off he whispered "We will go look in the morning. It's you and me now. I will always be here for you."

The Mask and the Flower:
Morning came and Irdril and I headed for the forest. "Wait." Irdril called. " I think This is yours." He held out what looked like a stone flower.
"Why?" I asked curiously.
"Well this is what formed from the grass and your tears last night. I watched it grow from the grass, shudder an turn to ice, then fell to the ground and when the ice melted, well, here. I think it's the grass's way of saying sorry for your loss."
I looked at the flower he handed me. It was cold and heavy like ice but did not melt. So I stuck it on my ear and there it stays as a reminder.
We made our way back the dens and it was clear my mother fought hard. Trees were snapped in half and wreckage was every where. Irdril motioned me to the big man den where everyone used to gathered. He went to the tree root and pulled something blue out.
"This was your mother's, she would wear it when she went out to the Ice or to check on the humans. She wanted me to give it to you if this day where to come and she wasn't here.." He passed me the blue mask and I looked at it, feeling the familiar-ness of my mother's presence. I put the mask on and we started towards the Ice Barrier.


Defender of the Ice Barrier:
Once we got close, I started to follow the thin layer of ice where I saw my mother run into the fog. As we walked the trees started to thin and it got colder. "Hinoko! Lockai!" Irdril called as he rushed to the jagged ice edge.
I ran after him. "Mother... Father?" I whispered as I laid by their side. The Ice shuddered and my mothers eyes opened!
"Holo..' she cooed. "Do not be afraid, for the Ice told me he is satisfied. He has granted you an eternal life so you will never grow old or die as long as you are the Defender of the Ice Barrier. He says he will maintain the peace with the grass and the forest will continue to be the divide. Thank you Irdril, for protecting her. Lockai is proud.." She laid there her voice trailing off, "And Holo.. Where the mask proudly, for the Ice forged it and he will recognize you always, by the mask." She laid her head down, closed her eyes, and smiled as the Ice took her body and my father within itself.
Tears once again rolled from my face but I now knew what I was and what it meant for my mother and father to sacrifice themselves. It was not just for me, but for peace between Ice and grass. For me to live in peace. And I was happy with that. I closed my eyes and smiled inside my mask for the first time. I was, after all, Defender of the Ice Barrier, and defender of my pack.

Hello there! I am SabjeBammie, nice to meet you! SabjeBammie is my username on here, ChickenSmoothie, but feelfree to call me Sabje. My real first name is Sabrina, Sabje is just short for it in The Netherlands, where I live.
Since April second I have a baby girl named Jessica. I can't tell you her last name. I was soooo glad she was born April second. My due date was April first! I would feel sorry for her once she'd be going to school. I mean, imagine all the pranks she'd have to face!

I have 3 cats, 1 dog and a few fish and birds. I am a big animal lover, yup ^^. I also love books. Fantasy, thriller... I read almost everything, but I dislike romantic stuff and detectives. Currently I am reading books from Stephen King. To be more specific: the green mile

Looking over the kennels this new round, I fell in love with kennel 114. So that is the kennel I'll be trying out for this round Fingers crossed!

Why do I want this character?

I fell in love with the design. It´s like a sketch over the dog. I really like that idea! I can't really explain it. You just have to love it, or you don't. And it turns out that I do!
I like the simple colors it has. In general I love characters with simple colors and designs. Okay, I admit there are some exceptions, but most of my characters are pretty basic. Just a few colors and a few markings, no complicated stuff. This pretty character fits the profile. Only 2 colors, white and blue. And not just blue, but a soft icy blue. I love the sketchy lines over it's body. It makes it funny and a little mysterious.
Long story short: I love doing art, and this design really shows it with the sketchy markings on the body.

What will I use it for, and where?

If I win, this character will go onto my old Weebly. I am working on a new Weebly, but that is a big project I am working on. I am collecting more art of the characters, write more stuff about them and give them a nice profile. So it needs a lot of work. But when I am done, this beauty will go to that Weebly. Sadly I can't say when that will happen. But I promise that it will happen! I just need time to do that, and having a baby girl makes my time very limited. I also go to school and I am about 3 months behind, so I need to do a lot of stuff. I won't be able to work on it 'till mid July.
As I said she'll get her own page on my Weebly. I'll be giving and getting her more art to show her hidden beauty. I might even write stories of her and my other characters if I have time for it. And yup, there we got that magic word again: time...

Name:

This character will keep her current name: Sketchy. As you can see she has sketchy lines over her body, making it look like she is colored and the sketch lines were moved on top of the other layers. I really like the effect, and the name really suits her.

Gender:

Sketchy will be female. The name can be used for both male and female characters. The design isn't really for only males or females, it can be both. Since I have more male than female characters I've decided to support my female ones a little more.
I don't mind having more males than females. I mean, I don't have any breeding plans or anything. But supporting the ladies a little might be a good idea. I dunno why I have more males than females. I guess I just fall in love with the male ones more ^^
Long story short: Sketchy will be female.

Sexuality:

Sketchy is bisexual. She doesn't fall in love easily, but when she does it doesn't matter if it's a male or female to her.


I'll jump in here to explain it a little better. To me, love is a feeling you have, or don't have. You can't force feelings, you just have them. If you fall in love with your own gender should be just as normal as falling in love with the other gender. As long as it makes you happy.

Personality

Sketchy is full of energy, she just can't sit still longer than 1 minute. She is constantly wagging her tail, moving her head or moving her tail. If you ask her to sit still for 15 minutes to win a million bucks, she will fail the challenge.
If she sits still for too long she will start panting. After a few second she will 'explode': she will jump on her feet and run around for at least 5 minutes. She'll be a little tired from that, but at least it drained some of her energy. Everyone thinks she has ADHD but she was never officially tested for it.
Because she is so active she isn't very patient. She hates waiting for stuff. She is very smart and eager to learn more.
She hates failing. If she fails for anything she'll throw it aside and never pick it up again. She tried to be patient, but it's no use.
She is struggling a little with herself. She needs to be more patient, but there is something else: she has an anger problem. As in: she can't control her anger. Once you pull her trigger she will snap. Everything around her will turn black and the only thing she sees is the reason she's agry. She once got angry about the ending of a book (some joke about it that she read Harry Potter and snapped because - SPOILER ALERT - Dumbledore died, but no one has the guts to ask. They know she has an anger issue, so they stay away when she gets angry and let her find them when she is calm again. Which is good, because she really trashed everything around her. She broke chairs, ripped a few books into pieces, threw a vase against the wall and threw a painting through the window.
Counting to 10 doesn't work. When she reaches 3 she will explode like a bomb full of anger and she'll only calm down when she is... sort of out of full.
But don't worry, she isn't angry that often. Most of the times she is just a happy girl. Hyper, but happy. She can really jump around for a while. She goes to bed very late - up to 3 in the night - and sleep till 1 or even 2 pm. She really is not a morning person...
She isn't the best at sharing. This sadly includes friends. When her friends hang out with outhers she can be a little jealous. But she tries to keep it to herself.
She often gives her friends a small gift. Some think she does this to make sure they don't end the friendship... But she does it because she cares and wants to make them happy. It's hard for her to tell someone how she feels or why she does the things she does, but she means well. She will do anything she can to help out others.

History

To be honest, I don't really remember much from my past. I wish I could tell you about my mother, father and siblings, but I don't know anything about those days. I am not even sure if I have siblings! I only remember I was pretty young when I was in the shelter, and a nice girl took me home. But somehow we felt... diffrent. We tolerated eachother, but there was no connection between us. So, I ended back in the shelter.
I've been in the shelter for a few months, till I got too bored to handle. I had to get out... When someone took me for a walk I managed to get away. I have been alone for a while, till I met Mc Denzel. He is a daydreamer and thinks some things are real, but in fact they are his imagination. No one knows why.
I found his stories amazing. I dunnno why... I knew he wasn't telling the truth, but after my time in the shelter and a few weeks alone on the run his stories were just what I needed. It was wonderfull! We became close friends right away!


Mc Denzel looked at Sketchy. He didn't want to lie to her, he wanted to tell her the truth for once.

Why do you want this character?
I really like his design, it's simple enough but not boring. He just kinda caught my eye and a story and a human form for him just popped into my mind.
Where will you use it, and what will you use it for?
He will be added to my thread for my other characters, and I will use him in stories, drawings, and roleplays if I start back up in it. I will also be integrating him another one of my characters histories as well as giving him his human form. Because he will be one of my more violent character I will most likely keep him off CS and use him around other sites. although from time to time I will use him here if desired.

Hi there! I'm OrangeSocks, a teen girl who lives in the USA. I am a huge roleplayer and love writing stories. I enjoy drawing, reading and doing stuff that has to do with MLP.

Why do you want this character?
This character is what I've been trying to make. A canine/feline like creature that has wings and a simple design. However, when I try to do this, the creature always ends up looking too cat like or dog like. This is what I have been trying to do, now I have found one and I can give it a life :3

Where will you use it, and what will you use it for?
Art, roleplaying, dreaming (yes, all my character appear in my dreams) I mostly roleplay with humans, but I want to try using an animals. This character seems to have human like qualities so I can ease into animal roleplaying with her. As for art, I plan to create Theo and get pictures/make pictures of them together.

Planned Changes to it's design: I would like to shorten the ears and change to eye color, and also add ink splotches to the wings and paws. As for a major change, I would also like to remove her front legs so that Nile will have to use mostly her wings and wing painting sounds like a wonderful art for her :3 If this is not okay, I'll be fine with keeping her four legged :3.

|Personality:| Nile is a drawer. She uses her paws to draw by dipping it them ink and sometimes uses her wings. She has used them so much that her fur and feathers are permanently stained. Nile can spend hours on just a corner of her canvas, placing line after line on top of each other. She is a slight perfectionist and sometimes throws her canvases away if one line is incorrect. However, when she gets things just right, Nile gets so much joy from her art she can barely contain it. Nile will often fly to a forest to listen to the birds to calm herself from her excitement. When she is unable to, Nile will let herself eat a lot of sugar. Theo doesn't like showing his art to her, because this may happen. Nile is trying her best to calm down when she sees a piece he has made.
Then:When not painting, Nile has a hard time being around others. She suffers from social anxiety and may blurt out random things when asked a question. She isn't shy, but she never knows what to do around others. At night, Nile always comes up with things she could have said and wishes she had.
Now: Nile is a quick thinker and is kinder to others then herself. She gives a lot to Theo, and never expects anything in return. When shopping for food, Nile rushes through the store, trying not to talk to many others, however, she has been practicing with the cashier and they have become friends. Around him, Nile is slightly bubbly, Theo doesn't approve. When they go shopping together, Theo listens to all that they say and argues with Nile about it when they get home. Nile does her best to defend her friend, but she has not been in a fight since she was a child. They rarely end on a happy note and will not talk to each other until the next day.


|Family:| Nile was born to a mother that was barely an adult. Her father left them before Nile was born. Nile's mother, Siref, did her best to support herself and the child, but the anxiety was to much. Siref fell into a pit of despair and barely acknowledged her child. Nile spent most of her time alone. However, when Nile was around 8 years old, Siref met another Lynx. They were very kind and caring to Siref. Nile didn't respond well to them. She was used to being alone, taking care of herself, she didn't like the idea of someone being there for her. Or maybe she was scared of change. When her mother married them, a large Lynx name Ciel, Nile ignored them, her mother and mostly everything else.
When Nile turned 13 and was in the middle of being harassed by her friends, Ciel came up to her. They knew Nile didn't like them, but they couldn't bare to see her in such a sad state. That day, Nile's mother had gone off to try to find a job, Ciel took Nile to an art gallery. They knew Nile had always loved art, and hoped they could help her somehow. Nile tried not to show interest, but she couldn't help it. Flying around the gallery, looking at everything, Nile relaxed. When they thought it was a good time, Ciel spoke to her. They told her about their childhood and being harassed for not choosing to be male or female, not fitting in, wanting to be a winged Lynx and so much more. They told Nile so much, I can't say what because it is very personal to her, but this impacted Nile to start to trust Ciel.
When Siref died from sickness and it was only Nile and Ciel. She blamed Ciel for her mother's death. They had encouraged Siref to get a job, and Siref died from over working and cold. She had stayed at work for hours during the frost season, wanting to support the family. All the trust Nile had for Ciel was lost.
As Nile moved out, Ciel promised them self that no matter how much Nile hated them, they would take care of her.

|Story/History:| Nile always knew she would be a her or them, but many others didn't understand why she went with either one. While others where playing with each other, Nile was staring at grass. Oddball often came to mind when others thought of her. But, Nile was not being odd, she was watching they way the grass moved in the wind and teaching herself how to draw. When Nile entered her preteens, she opened up a bit and made a few friends. They had fun and went places together. This lasted a few years, but they began to not know when playful teasing went to far. Nile often felt harassed by them and tried her best to assert herself. This didn't work, and her social anxiety increased. When her mother died, Nile separated herself from others and delved into painting. The colors were her friends, the shadows and highlights her family. She didn't need anyone else, she didn't need Ciel. Nile lived like this for almost seven years, but then the fact that she was always alone began to eat at her. Nile wanted a community, a group that was like her, shared her interests. Lynx that she could trust. Nile almost went to find Ciel. But, she couldn't bring herself to do it.
Nile tried joining some groups, but found that it was too hard to connect with a already made web of trust. She almost gave up and returned to her secluded life but, she met a very young winged Lynx. Abandoned for it's looks, this Lynx was lost to the world. It's face, torso, wings, tail, all looked like melting candle wax, it's eyes barely worked. Not knowing what to do Nile brought it home. She never liked to judge others by how they looked, but this was hard for her. For the fist few days she was almost unable to look at it. Nile never found out where it was from, and from the way it was terrified of adults, she could tell it had a hard life before it was abandoned. Nile coaxed it to warm up to her by using her paints. She tool the tip of it's knurled tail and guided it through the cold inks. She helped it learn to pull it's tail across the canvas. It began to understand it was safe.
After a few months the little Lynx finally spoke for the first time. Nile didn't know if it had be holding back, or just trying to learn how to speak, but she was thrilled either way. The little Lynx's voice was shaky from un-use, but coherent. It told Nile it had lost it's eye sight completely. It asked if she would teach it to paint what was in it's mind. Nile was blow back by this. She hadn't needed to talk very much to it and her anxiety had not been around for a while. Could she actually teach with words? Nile knew she had no choice. In fact it wasn't her choice at all, it was her duty.
Nile has been learning how to use her words the express herself. The young Lynx has taken on the name Theo and chosen male. His eye sight has not returned or gotten better, but he is okay with that. Side by side they paint, Nile with her intricate inkings, Theo with his swirls of bright and dark colors.
One day, Theo found a letter from Ciel. He couldn't read it, but gave it to Nile. Ciel was living alone, and was sick. They had the same type of sickness Nile's mother had. They had been working to help Nile, to support her adopted child. Nile had never realized or thought about how she payed for her home or health care. All she made went to supplies and food. What had she done? All the blame that had gone toward Ciel has left her, Nile had only thought of Theo. When she finished reading the letter (Theo had insisted she read it out loud and tell him all about Ciel) Theo stared at her with his unseeing eyes. "We have to help Ciel. Please." Nile knew he was right. That day, Nile and Theo flew to where Ciel lived. Theo wasn't a very strong flier and had to rest between Nile's wings every few hours. They found Ciel's small home. Somehow the managed to bring them to Nile's home. Ciel, Nile and Theo spent a very happy year together until Ciel died. Nile and Theo buried them next to their home. She began to sell her art, and Theo painted a gravestone for Ciel. They are living now, still painting, still alone, but at peace.
