Welcome to the Miscellaneous Poet- his name is Fred and he is really miscellaneous. None of his poetry, or, as a matter of fact, none of his ANYTHING fit into a catergory. So we made a catergory to make him feel special. You see, Fred the Miscellaneous Poet used to feel so left out- all the kids were writing about fantasy, or nature. He, however, was writing about fantasy, nature, aliens, and politics. Something we call.... miscellaneous. So enjoy yourself!

Welcome to the Poetic Hare, a hub of poems done by what else? A poetic hare, of course!
What is the name of the unusually literate rabbit? His name is Fendrel, and he will take you into his world, placed in the Middle Ages, full of enchanting creatures, dwarves and elves, and majestic royalty. Watch the apprentice follow the sorcerer through the woods... Follow the lilting of woodwinds and the graceful notes of the harp as you go back in time to a land of adventure, romance, magic, and mystery.

The Sorcerer's Journey
The night is lit by the moon
Which hangs in the sky-
A glowing white orb
Of shimmering brightness
The sorcerer moves through the moonlit night
Slithering through the woods like a snake
Floating through the hills like a spirit
Quiet in the journey like death
Where is he going?
Whispers the wind
Where is he going?
Growls the old oak
Where is he going?
Wonders the young apprentice
Like a drum, the boy's heart pounds
As he follows his master
The sorcerer
Into the forest
Into the forest
Into the forest
The night is lit by the moon
Which hangs in the sky-
A glowing white orb
Of shimmering brightness

Have You Ever...
Shump. Shump. Shump.
The beat of a dragon's wings
The beat of a dragon's heart
Have you ever been
So close to a dragon
That you could feel its
Breath?
Heart?
Spirit?
So close you hear its
Breath?
Heart?
Spirit?
So close you can feel its
Breath?
Heart?
Spirit?
Have you ever been
so close
to a dragon?

Kiss the Music
Inspired off 'Kiss the Rain,' composed by Yiruma
The warm, midsummer night is filled
With beautiful sounds
So beautiful the man wants to just...
Kiss the Music
The notes float effortlessly into the air
The man feels panicked...
Can he save this moment?
Remember it forever?
Keep this moment just how it is?
The musician's are finished
The peasant's begin to leave
The musician's pack up
The man sits there
Thinking, that just somehow...
He lost something
The beauty
The joy
The pleasure
The grace
Of the music.
He closes his eyes and tries to remember
Those beautiful sounds
As he tries to Kiss the Music.

The Firebreather
That's what they call him-
The Firebreather.
Known wide, far, and all over
He
Is
Able to conjure fire up
With
His
Bare Hands...
Or so it seems.
But wait! There's more
The final act for the finale
As The Firebreather tilts
His
Head
And
Breathes
Fire.

Aaah, the great outdoors! Hundreds, even millions of years ago, people have been fascinated by nature's complex and strange beauty. These poems here are written by Ching, a naturalist who lives in a small cabin in the Rocky Mountains. She spends and dedicates her whole life to nature, and logging the mysteries and marvels of nature. Even if you aren't an out-doorsy person, reading these inspiring nature poems will make you one happy camper!

Modern poetry. What is it? Typically it is based off people's lifestyles, or the way society has changed over centuries. But it can be over anything that is 21nd Century like. This section are written by an un-assuming writer for the Gazette- her name is Liliana and she spends most of her day thinking about the craziness of our society. Please enjoy these poems, and while you a reading them, think back to the time when their were cavemen and they had very primitive tools to hunt their own food, while we drive to a grocery store and blast out music on our iPod. Pretty wild, isn't it?!

Would you like to add your own poetry to the Poetic Notebook? Just post it on the thread or PM it to me and I'll post it here as soon as possible! And then you can tell everyone that you've submitted your poetry to a person who put it in a Hall of Fame. ;3
Unicorn
-by YamiKokono
When the days long ago
while the Earth was still new
roamed a creature high and low
'Twas none other than the unicorn.
The lonely soul
bound by fate to wander
sojourn and traverse
the landscape with naught a friend.
A terrible thing,
for such a being of beauty and purity
to be forever cursed
hunted and disdained.
'Oh!' cries the unicorn.
'If only, if only...'
A maiden to rest with
To talk and enjoy the adventure of life.
But nobody comforts the unicorn
for he is an ancient being
and his power is lusted after
by men for their downfall.
When the days past and present
while the Earth is still turning
roams a creature high and low
'Tis none other than the unicorn.
