☀ “I don’t remember much- though I do remember my father leaving me at the fabled area.
I’ll never forget the hurt in his eyes when he did so.” ☀

☀ “We’re almost their Calida, I promise.” The vinceling could barely keep up with her father, she had only barely learned how to walk on her hind legs about a week ago, resulting in tripping over herself many times. “Papa, where are we going?” The small vicent had noticed a sudden wave of sadness take over her father. “A safe place.” She was confused, and complained quietly to herself. They continued on slowly, allowing his daughter to keep up- trying not to notice the half-burnt path she left behind as she dragged her tail.
They had arrived to two large oak trees, a forbidding gap between them. A viscet was standing nearby, looking at her and the father. The stranger had an armor of sorts, especially around their paws and muzzle. “Papa.. Who’s that…” She whispered, inching closer to her father. He pushed her away lightly, trying to keep the pain off of his face. She looked at his legs, seeing new scorched fur. She looked up to his father, burns all over him. I’m sorry. The stranger started to walk over to them. “You're doing the right thing. She will be cared for well here, we promise.” her father smiled, though tears cornered his eyes. “Thank you, all I want is for her to be safe.” They nodded. “We can guarantee that.” The stranger looked down to the vinceling, “Papa, What do you mean? Who is this?” Her father bent down to his daughter, “I will always be with you, dwell on the present, not the past.” He kissed the top of her head and placed a few small gems in her paws. “Goodbye, Calida.” She looked up to him, then down to the gems she now held in her paws, then up, too see him backing away. Beads of tears started to run from his face. The stranger nodded, and her father turned and ran into the forest. She was fazed, watching him leave. About to go after him, She was met by a yank by her scruff, this stranger now carrying her. She screamed, “Papa! Don’t Leave!” and tried her best to struggle out of this stranger's grasp. They started walking as she continued to call out. The fire on her tail started to grow massively, scorching everything under her. “Stop it, Stop it!” She cried, angry at herself. Wanting the fire to go away, and wanting to be with her father. The stranger finally dropped her once sure her father was gone, “Please, Calida.”
“No!-”
“Calida, I know you're afraid, but look.” The vincent in the armor lifted the small ones paws, reminding her of what she held. “He gave these to you, he wouldn’t have left such precious things if he didn't care. He just doesn't know how to keep you safe.“ She continued to cry, but despite her young age, she started to understand what they meant. Eventually she stared at the stranger in understanding. They gave a small smile and started to carry the small one away. They made it to the oaks, passing through them shocked her. There was a bright light, blinding her briefly… The other side was unexplainable.

☀ “I soon learn’t that this place was for special viscets like me. To try and control our godly defects.
I didn't make too many friends at first, I was afraid of hurting everybody so much, but then...” ☀

☀ “Calida.” I jumped slightly to the mention of my name. I turned my head too see one of the caregiver viscets that belonged to camp. She approached me, I scooted away. “Anise, I don't want to hurt you, leave me alone” I muttered, avoiding the kind glance she gave me. Anises voice shook with a small sigh. “Calida, I know you’re hurt, but it's almost been three moons since you have arrived, you’re three seasons old now. You must start talking to others-” Tears welled in my eyes, “I don’t care! I’d rather be alone than hurt anyone else,” I looked away, my tail curled around my hip as I sat near the water's edge, looking at my own reflection, ”Make them leave like my father did me...” I felt anises paw sit on my shoulder in effort to comfort me. “Where are they?” She asked, My ears perked with slight confusion. “Where are the gifts your father had given you?” I tightened my paw around the small gems he had given me. I haven't put them down, or let them out of my sight, since he gave them to me those moons ago. “What of them?” I asked defensively, tightening my grasp. Anise smiled lightly, “Follow me,”
After casting a regretful glance at the lake I reluctantly followed her toward the base. We arrived to the blacksmith, “Can you trust me?” I looked at her, realizing she wouldn't do anything to harm me, I nodded. “Give them too me, you will have them back by tonight.” I was hesitant, but I gave her my precious gems. Without saying anything else she entered the blacksmith workshop and asked me to wait outside. I obeyed, even though I wished to follow her. What seemed like millenia, she finally returned with the gems, along with precious silks and other beaded pearl links. There was also two gorgeous pearl bracelets, one with the orange crystal she had as the pendent, and the other with a small, blue gem as the pendant. She handed them to me. “Well, here you are.” I stuttered, “This is silk, what do you want me to do with this?” She gave a small laugh, “Sashes weighed down by precious jewels. You wear them. They will not burn, from the precious spell the mages put on them.” Being careful, I tried the garments she had given me. She was right, they didn't turn to ash, quite honestly everything fit me nicely. “Now you don't have to worry about dropping them, and you can show them off to everyone who walks by. Not to mention how well it looks on you.” I looked at her, a large smile on my face. “Thank you, Anise”

With these new sashes and ribbons, they boosted her confidence. She was still quiet, but was more open to conversation if one was to try. She started to get more used to things, and helped around camp more often than before. As time passed on she started to become one of the young, popular faces in camp.

☀ “But then, one moon later, a newcomer came rushing into camp- terrified.”☀

☀ “Please! Someone help her!” I shuddered at the scream, from instinct I turned and looked around for the distressed call. I could see someone new at the entrance, his face wet with tears and blood. His main feature though, was his tail. As if he was half scorpion himself, he possessed a scorpions tail. Many had already surrounded him. “Please, please help her! My sister is dying and I don’t know how to fix her!” I noticed the small viscling he carried on his back, she looked regular with no power. Though, her face seemed very pale, she looked like she was in pain. Instantly the healers rushed out and looked the young one over. All of them held worried, horrified looks. They whispered hastily to one another. One spoke up, looking to the newcomer, “How did this happen?” The brown viscet cried, his voice shaky, “I.. I stung her.” My eyes widened in surprise, not that he had stung her, but the fact his stinger had effect. I could now see a huge swollen lump on the sisters flank. “A pride of cougars attacked us, I told her to run, but she wanted to fight, she got in the way as I fought them off, and I didn’t see, everything happened so fast, I-” His legs buckled under himself and he started to cry out, as if his life was to come to an end, too. The healers had no idea what too do, they had never seen a poison so vile as his. Before they could act any longer, her heart stopped and she let out one last gasp of air…

☀ It had been a week since the stranger’s arrival.. He had begged to be kept here, he couldn't bare to hurt anyone else again. A bit like me… He had distanced himself from most others, and had been sleeping by his sister's grave since he arrived. I noticed him talk in his sleep as I passed by, his voice sounding sorrowful. My heart almost tore at the sight, so I brought up enough courage to talk to him. As I approached him he looked up at me. He turned his head away, He wore an expression I recognized too well. Words caught in the back of my tongue as I tried to talk, suddenly losing my confidence. “Please don't come near me, I don't want to hurt you” It clicked, That's what I would say. “Please, I just wish to talk with you, I doubt you would hurt me.. I’m more likely to hurt you.” I sighed at sat next to him. “I’m sorry about your sister... I know how hard it must be.”

☀ The full day they had talked. She knew he was upset, but to her surprise she got a small laugh out of him. By the time of dusk, she had asked, “So, you’re staying here?” He nodded, “Yes… I want to try to learn to control this, to never hurt anyone again.” She looked to him, placing her paw on his shoulder, a reassuring smile on her face. “Me too.... Oh, I’m Calida,” He smiled back, “Scorpio.”

☀ “Then, they arrived. One who was popular when they first got here. They seemed extremely nice to everyone. Stacked up reputation like it was nothing. But, Something about Scorpio and I, They absolutely despised.
It was obvious, to us anyway. But they... They never showed his disliking too us around others. It soon got to the point when They threatened and taunted us of our memories. ” ☀

☀ We had just finished training and the sun was starting to set. Scorpio and I had started to go on out small walk we usually took on the trail we made. Then They had approached us. Instantly They started Their usual taunts. “Where's your father? Huh?” I rolled my eyes, “Buzz off, we’re-” I was cut off from the static viscet, “Wait, hold on a second, I’ve never heard you talk about your mother before! What was She like?” Scorpio got defensive instantly, knowing the touchy subject, “Oh, come on, We don't need to bring that here.” I, however, pushed passed Scorpio and inched closer to them. “What did you say?” The fire in the my tail sparking slightly. The bully laughed, “Look at this, You're upset, What's wrong? is she not here to comfort you anymore?” I could feel the tension, “You know, I have have put up with you since the day you got here. Why do you only pick on us huh? What's so wrong with us?! Now back off before you regret something.” They laughed, “Me? Regret? More like you would. Go on, attack me, see where that gets you.” I didn’t want to back down from the challenge, but at the same time didn’t want to harm them unnecessarily. I hesitantly leapt at them, holding down my powers. They didn’t hold back at all, quickly sizing up and batting me to the floor with their front paws. “Ha! Is that really all you’ve got?” They scoffed. Without warning, Scorpio screeched loudly and leapt at the bully. They didn't expect the sudden quick attack from scorpio, but the retrieved it well. I watched in horror as their fur sparked with electricity as they temporarily tranquilized Scorpio, his power taking full effect onto my best friend. He fell to the floor unable to respond but the pain from the electric shock could be seen in his eyes- just before he lost consciousness. I stood, my lips curled to a growl. The fire on on tail began to flare up, I can't, I won’t use my power like this. As I tried to calm myself down, They took advantage of my frigid state. They launched towards me, claws extended. I Raised my forearms to defend myself, but the remaining bracelet on her wrist got stuck between his claws. At first I hadn’t noticed, but the small noise it made as it hit the ground brought it to my attention. I gazed down at the crushed sapphire and pearls, and before I could react my vision was already blurring with tears. I felt my vision began to brighten. It was odd until I realized it was my own flame growing out of control. I saw a pair of eyes looking in horror as if I were a monster. Moments later They were gone, part of the growing blaze I created.

☀ I watched in sheer terror as they were devoured in my flames. I could hear panicked shrieks and yells in the direction of camp, but they now lay In the fire, dead. I had no idea how to fix anything, and being so close to camp it spread so quickly. They could never forgive me, I've probably hurt so many. So hurt in the moment, I ran. I had no idea where I was going, but it was away from my old refuge. I'm sorry, Scorpio, Anise... Everyone… SCORPIO!

She had forgotten he had passed out in the clearing. But being so caught up in her emotions, she couldn’t stop running. She wanted to howl out in pain, just thinking of him being devoured too, in her flames.

☀ I had run as far as my legs could take me, before I became overcome with fatigue I collapsed. I looked up, seeing smoke smother the air from where the camp once remained. Everything went dark as I felt heavy burden fill my heart.

☀ She continued her journey away. Alone, afraid, and unaware of what would come next. But she pushed forward, Despite her feelings for her old home. All she could see were their horrified face and they were devoured by her fire. The terrified screams followed her mind as she raced away. And scorpio, She continues to look back, as if she was too talk to him. But he wasn't there to talk too.

☀ “Oh why did I run..? I should of stayed to help, and if they wanted me to go I would of left. I can't believe..” I looked around, completely lost. It's already been two moons since I left… And I have to go back. I looked up, “But which way is home?”

"I'm sorry... Scorpio, Anise... Everyone…"

☀ Ｐａｓｓｉｏｎａｔｅ．
.....● Calida, despite her shyness, she is quite passionate to anyone. Though mainly, she won't care for the ones that have thought badly of her. She doesn't realize how caring she ends up being in a conversation or in an action she does. Even so, when she knows you're one to trust, she doesn't hesitate to be their for you when necessary.

☀ Ｐｒｏｔｅｃｔｉｖｅ／Ｄｅｆｅｎｓｉｖｅ．
.....● Calida is very protective over many things, but not as you may think. She is loyal to the ones she loves, but she is very defensive of her emotions and personal things. If someone is to hurt her personally with her emotional weaknesses, she cant handle it up to a point. Her emotional wounds leave a bigger scars than sparring ones in her heart.

☀ Ｓｔｕｂｂｏｒｎ．
.....● Ever Since she was little, she has always had a stubborn tone with most conversations. She doesn't take no for an answer and will make things go her way. Even with this being said, she will take the time to listen to others ideas. If she prefers theirs, then she will follow out. But if she prefers something over another, she will only take her route. There are minor exceptions to this, like listening to directions from others, but other than that she's one of the most stubborn cets you’ll meet.

☀Ｉｎｔｒｏｖｅｒｔｅｄ．
.....● Being afraid of hurting everyone, she became introverted and avoided most others. She barely talked for the most part. She eventually became a bit more social with anises help, but she still usually keeps to herself when she meets new people. But once she knows she can trust you, she can be pretty fun to have around.

☀ Ｍｅｔｉｃｕｌｏｕｓ．
.....● Though she doesn't make it obvious, Calida is very picky with how things are placed. If something is unorganized or in the wrong spot, she has to fix it. If she doesn't get the chance too, it will constantly go on and on in her head. This applies too her apparel, If it's out of place she has to fix it. [348-500]

☀ Scorpio “My true friend” [357-400]
......● Scorpio had arrived at camp, completely torn up with bite marks from the suggested cougars he was trying to fight off. In the process of the fight, his younger adoptive (Took into own care, he found her egg abandoned and being pecked at by birds.) sister had gotten stung by him. Unaware of what to do, he ran towards the camp he was supposed to go to as a child. In secret, he actually did belong to camp in his nursery years, but he ran away just before Calida arrived. He got After their talk, Calida and scorpio started hang around each other more in the passing days. To her relief, his tails shell is so durable her fire doesn't burn though. Though, he is still extremely careful about his actions, even though she told him not to worry. During their time together, She never realized how much she loved him. Not as much in a relationship, but as best friends. Before the knew it, they would do everything together. They would persist when they trained they trained together. They even exit camp at night to go on small adventures with one another. When Calida felt close enough to him, she gave her the bracelet with the orange crystal she owned as a good luck charm, even though he saw it as so much more. Secretly, he had grown feelings for her, and wanted to wait for the right moment to tell her. Together, they had Ecstasy, and almost nothing could break that. Then they had arrived. Scorpio was outraged when they had bat his one true love to the floor, and instinctively attacked them. To Scorpios disadvantage, they had shocked him with their power and he had passed out. When they woke up, Flames where everywhere and he thought he was going to die. But then, the flames started to avoid him, and almost cleared a way for him to escape. As he ran, he noticed the dead body of the enemy, but took no sympathy for it. He soon found the rest of the evacuated group, and seeked out anise too tell her what happened.

☀ Anise “There when I was doubtful” [120-400]
......● “Anise… I don't know if i’d be as outgoing as i am now. Don't kid me, I’m not outgoing at all, But she helped my understand it's not a bad thing to talk to others… and that mistakes happen.” Anise is a caregiver in the camp. She usually works in the nursery to help keep the younger ones under control. She doesn't really have a physical power, but her words are a power in their own. She helped Calida with being social and to help her confidence. When Anise realized the fire was Calidas, she felt terrible. She wished Caldia didn't run, but she told scorpio not to go after her. For she had faith one day she would return.

☀ The bully “My mistake” [71 - 400]
......● They showed up in camp one day, claiming they had killed all of their loved ones from mistake, and just wishing for a home. They had the power of plasma. Even though they seemed nice, they became jealous very easily. They were very jealous of Scorpio and Calidas Ecstasy, and hoped to try to tear them apart. Though, Soon They went too far and underestimated Calidas power, resulting in Their demise.

☀ Gems “My father's love” [88-400]
......● “Before my father had left me, He gave me ten sapphires and one orange quartz, crystal. I don’t remember much about him, but I remember the pain in his face when he had to hand me over...” Her precious gems were made into accessories she could wear without having to worry about them burning. Though, her one orange quartz what was made into a pendant to a bracelet, she gave to scorpio in gift. When the one the bully tore of cracked, she didn't know how to feel.

☀ The Camp “The safe haven” [112-400]
......● "I was given to the camp when i was just a vinceling. I hated it at first, but I had grown to love the place. When the forest caught fire because of me, I couldn't stay too see my beloved home get destroyed. I don't even know how much damage I really did cause... I miss the old home though," The camp has been around for twenty generations. It was formed by misfits that had mutations of their own. They hated hurting others, so the camp resulted. They wanted to help anyone who needs to control their power. Half the camp got destroyed, though, because most of the water vicents were away.

☀ Parents “My regret” [232-400]
......● “I miss my father greatly… And I wish I could of met my mother before the incident happened.. No wonder he was terrified of me.” When Calida had hatched, Her parents were shocked with her mane. They had no idea how to take care of her, and how much danger they were putting themselves into. Her mother was the first to approach. For the first week, her fire had done no damage. But later on, it started to grow and her mother started to retrieve burns from her daughter. One day, while caring for Calida, Calida got extremely happy and her tail at reached a new kind of power. One thing led to another, and her mother got extremely hurt. She was unable to move for a few daws and the wounds and gotten infected. She had passed away because of the infection. Her father was broken after that, completely at loss for his mate. Finally, he started to pay attention to his daughter again, seeing the resemblance she had with her mother. Time passed, and He knew what to do. Once Calida could walk, he instantly started to travel with her to the fabled camp for the special vicents. He never told Calida she was the cause of her mother's death, but she could tell she was. Even so, she hated parting with him when she was given to the camp.
