Prompt:Ramises had just been exhiled from his past home. He would continuously getting in trouble, causing fights, and biting humans. He kept attempting to leave his duty of watching the Zebras. As he leaves his once home, he treads through the dust. T
He had been walking for maybe 40 minutes before he finds shade under a tree, and he sits. He looks back in the direction of the old ranch.. sighing he lays down, and closes his eyes, drifting off to sleep.
When he finally awakens, it's dark. His eyelids lift. He sighs and looks around. The owls make their calls..he sits up and stretches. He looks around the dark deserted area, he stands up and starts to walk. After a while he hears the distant howl of coyotes.....he looks around and snarls softly, before warily continuing. After a few hours...he Huff's and sits, tired, hungry, cold...thirsty. he looks around for a pond. Nothing but trees, termite mounds, and cacti....He sighs remembering what his old owners used to say about cacti. He breaks it down and licks the inside, getting pricked while doing so, drawing blood. He shakes his head.....crack..............he slowly turns.......three coyotes stand in front of him. He backs up and snarls softly...they lunge forward and attack the hound. He battles viciously, tearing at their necks, ripping back. They fight him back, biting at his legs and tearing at his back. They retreat running off into the night. He pants and collapses, his eyes slowly shutting.
He wakes up to the hot sun and a whimper...he quickly opens his eyes and jumps up, growling.
There's a hound
A large cream male with several red dots. He looks at him worried and concerned..."Are you alright?" He asks. Ramises growls and Huff's, seeing he means no harm. "I'm fine...." He mutters. Ramises sighs, "come with me, I'll bring you to my home." He starts to walk. Slowly Ramises hesitates.....but joins him...

hound name: Apollo
coloration: Smooth Black Piebald with minimal Ticking.
sex: Male
age: 6 years
collar color: Navy blue with gold stripe
Prompt:
As a pup Apollo was always cared for by his family, owner, and kennel mates. He was then sold when he was a little older and his new human also took care of his every need. That is, until they got sick. When his human got sick Apollo was sent away to live with one of his owner's relatives on a farm.
On the farm he was expected to do the job he was trained for and pull his weight to earn a meal. He was less a pet and more a working animal now.
Though he'd never had to work much for things before, he was determined not to let himself be totally inept so tried as best he could to learn how to do things himself.
If he were left to fend for himself now he would probably do pretty well.
In those first few days in order to cope Apollo tried to focus on the fact that he did want to please his new owner and he didn't want the other dogs on the farm to think he was useless or spoiled. Even though he'd had an easier life as a pet before he was at least willing to try to make this work and reminded himself that he was lucky to have a home and not have been sent to a shelter or left on the streets.
While on the farm he learned a lot about how to protect himself and the other farm animals, and how to be careful around certain animals and plants that he had never encountered before.
Because of this experience he has learned better how to deal with change, and that it isn't always a bad thing. He has also learned how he can make it easier on himself and develop better coping methods than laying around feeling sorry for himself. After all, he sometimes took for granted how easy his life was with his first owner. the farm is harder, but still nowhere near as hard as it could be. So were he to be left to fend for himself more again Apollo would be better prepared to deal with it and he has certainly learned not to take for granted all the little things he has that others are not lucky enough to have for themselves.
