He spent two weeks on the run, somehow managing to evade his captors, and breaking into multiple stores and schools (and even wandering onto a public bus once!) until he was finally caught. A volunteer for a non-profit cat rescue saw the news story and quickly rushed in to help, knowing the shelter wouldn't be too keen on keeping the dog after all the trouble he had caused. As expected the facility he originally belonged to was all too happy to give him over, and the cat rescue took over his care. He gained quite a bit of attention considering his size and boundless amounts of energy, and he even managed to get along beautifully with the rescue's many cats. They used him to 'dog proof' their adoptable kitties and let him roam the main office freely to greet visitors. Sadly after a short year the non-profit ended up closing down, so they decided to find this guy a more permanent home. He was bounced around between fosters until he finally found himself here, ready to start a new life with a new furever home.
