Lunar Eclipse discussion

Dudes it’s so beautiful *shout out to all my other Cali humans watching it*

i’ve been really connected and fascinated with eclipses and constellations and anything that has to do with astronomy & astrology. as a child i would constantly read books and do research online about anything in space.
and for the first time in my life, this is my first time seeing a total lunar eclipse and i am astonished by how beautiful it is. i wish i could capture a photo, but memories are just as good.
i heard that on November 11th the east coast will be able to experience something called
Mercury Transit, which is when parts of the east coast will be able to see our innermost planet make its away around the sun for 6 hours.
During a transit, Mercury appears as a tiny black dot moving across the disk of the Sun!

I just watched the eclipse from North of Sweden! We call it ”superblodmåne” which is translated super blood moon. The moon is about 7% bigger and therefore super bright. And the blood-part explains itself lol since the moon is red during the eclipse.

I'm trying not to be bitter about getting to the telescope late and, yeah, missing out on better pictures. There'll always be another chance.
