Hi, I'm moving tomorrow, and I'm really nervous. I have lived in the same place since I was 2 years old, so I have no memory of my last move. I have to start a whole new school, make new friends, and learn a whole new schedule. Maybe you guys could tell me about your moving experiences, or maybe some advice for how to get by the first few weeks. I'm scared to death right now, so maybe you guys could help.
Thanks sooo much!

I recently moved interstate - I not only switched homes, schools and friends, but also families ( I moved away from my dad and went south to live with Mum and her boyfriend ).
Now I'm no socialite and making friends was scary, but soon I found that I knew people, and I wasn't terrified any more. Sometimes it's hard to just walk on up to someone and say hi, but if you can do it ( and you can ) you'll slowly start to get to know people, even if you just find yourself paired with some random during a class exercise.
I know how scary and isolating this sort of move is, and I promise it gets better. <3

I am just moving a short distance down the hill from where I currently live but its my first actual move ( first move I was at camp and did no work at all but adjust) Just be yourself in your new area luckily you wont have new neighbors to keep an eye on for doing illegal things no one has yet to report.

I just recently moved c:
Thinks can get really different, but change is okay right? By how I feel right now, it`s really
stressing and horrible when you move. You have to change a lot of things.
I`ll be in the same school though. But if you`re moving to a new school that`s not a problem.
It`s an opportunity for you to meet and make new friends and if you miss your old friends,
you can text them or call them or maybe even have them visit you sometimes via cellphone
and the internet of course. As long as you get in touch c:

Its ok Moving is very hard.
I have moved 2 times across the UK .It can be very scary, Just be yourself at your new school try to chat to someone and see if you can make some friends.
I found it hard making new friends when i came to my new school. All i did was look around and chat and that helped!
I hope it all works out

When I was 12, I moved cross-country. I was really scared, but I made friends fast. I found a hidden benefit to the move: It's a fresh start. Nobody knows you yet, so you can reinvent yourself as you choose. Nobody is going to remember that one fight on the playground, or the time you made that teacher yell at the class. As for friends? You know those good, good friends that you have known forever and will miss terribly? You can stay in contact with them through Internet and texting. As for your enemies? Adios!

You get to pick who to stay in contact with. It's beautiful.
