Hi there, I've seen these adopts around and I'd love to get into them but am a bit lost on how to get started with a clan. Any pointers for how to go about making one? I put in a form to get my founder so that should be taken care of but making the clan seems far more challenging.

Ahh, it probably seems a bit intimidating at first because the really prominent clans have been here a while. :3

While you're waiting for your founder, it's a good idea to start setting up a thread! To level up to 1 and keep your founder, all you need is three things. The thread, the founder, and the territory. From there, you can gradually build up the rest of it. First things first, clan location! You can get really creative with this.

Actually, as a whole, there's a lot of freedoms. You need not have read warriors to join ; you can set up ranks however you want, so long as you have an equivalent of those high ranks and some sort of ancestral belief. [leader, deputy/second-in-command, medicine cat]

Example: Cascadeclan is my clan. I'm a level six. I keep two threads ; one for info and one for stories, plus I'll be adding a short series to the one thread of the extended versions of last year's summer prompts. Some people with use other websites.

Thistlestar - you can't change what happened in the past, what's happened has happened and you can't spend your life in regret or anger.

Eagleclaw - Sometimes family hurts and sometimes your family isn't the one that you were born into but the one that you make along the way.

Bluemoon -

Cherrycrest - there is more to life than work.

Hawkthorn - not everyone is out to get you.

Brightlight - you don't need to hide your pain (physically or emotionally) just because your known for being happy all the time.

Sunstorm - not every confrontation has to end with a fight.

Swallownest - Sometimes it's better to think first before running into danger, to come up with a plan.

(I haven't done my kits or Apprentices because they're still young and have a lot to learn)
