i saw endgame for the second time today. i went with my sister who was seeing it for the first time though. watching her go through the rollercoaster of emotions was hilarious, her facial expressions and rections were golden! gosh that movie doesn't hurt less watching the second time around though. i cried several times again. tomorrow she is taking me to see far from home for my birthday so i'm excited for that! it'll be both our first times seeing ffh. i've seen a few spoilers though so that's a bummer.

hey y'all.. it's been a busy few months. i came back to give my thoughts on far from home, since i saw it on the 8th, a few days after the release. let me just start by saying that i didn't go in with a blank slate- i read the comics and therefore had a list of running theories in my head. for the most part, they all came true, and even then it was still a great movie.

the scene that caught me the most off guard was the illusion scene... that was haunting. jake is a great mysterio, because he really made me hate him in that moment. the entire scene with tony's corpse made me tear up..

not only was i not expecting that, but i wasn't expecting it to be done so well. i feel like this movie really set the bar, as well as established tom as the best spider-man to hit the big screen. while i adore andrew garfield and i'm alright with toby mcquire, there were too many marks that they both missed. toby was too old looking, kristen's acting was seriously spotty, tasm had bad writing, etc.. now, naturally, there are things that disappoint me about tom's spidey too- such as them making him so young, his hero worship, the aspects of his character that were stolen from miles morales.. but overall, he's my favorite mcu spider-man by a long shot, and i expect several more great movies from him.
