| Loki Laufeyson Odinson |Age: 1054
Gender: Genderfluid
Sexual orientation: Pansexual
Relationship Status: Single
Side: Antihero
Powers: Magic|Illusions|Shape Shifting
Personality: Loki is strategic, charismatic, intelligent, and determined. As the Norse God of Mischief, he is a natural born trouble-maker and agent of chaos. Though often thought of as evil, Loki still has a soft side buried deep within.
History: For most of his life, Loki believed that he was the younger brother of Thor, and a prince of Asgard. He did not understand why Odin favored Thor over him, or why he looked so different from his family, and while he tried to make the best of his life by learning to wield magic similar to his mother's, even that caused him to be ridiculed by those in Asgard who considered magic to be a 'weak and womanly' craft. His resentment toward the realm and his brother only grew as time went on, and after learning of his true heritage and the purely political reasons for Odin taking him in, he snapped. At first, he tried to prove himself worthy to his adoptive father by attempting to destroy the greatest enemy of Asgard -- the Jotnar,
his own race, but after being openly rejected, he allowed himself to fall into the abyss with the intent of ending his own life.
However, his immense healing abilities saved him, and he was intercepted by the mad titan, Thanos. With the promise of a realm which he could finally rule over and thrive within, and with horrendour threats looming over his head, Loki agreed to find and retrieve the tesseract for Thanos in return for Midgard. He led the Chitauri army against Earth, but his plans failed miserably when he miscalculated and underestimated The Avengers. Spectacularly defeated, he was shipped off back to Asgard to face execution, his sentence only changed to life-imprisonment after his adoptive mother, Frigga, pleaded for Odin to show leniency.
He remained imprisoned for a little over a year, receiving short visits only from Frigga, and all but swept under the rug and forgotten by the rest of his so-called family. All of that changed however when an ancient race from the realm of Svartalfheim called Dark Elves attacked Asgard and murdered Frigga. Absolutely crushed, he briefly allied himself with Thor in order to defeat them and exact revenge upon the monster that had killed his mother. He did manage to kill Kurse, but was stabbed in the process. He was thought to be dead, but his healing abilities saved him once again, and he traveled back to Asgard under the guise of an Aesir guard and usurped Odin. Shifting his appearance to that of the Allfather, he ruled over Asgard for several years before being found out.

| Carter Eilian |Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexual orientation: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single
Side: Heroes
Occupation: An agent of SHIELD.
Appearance: Carter has brown eyes, sandy blond hair that has a tendency to look a bit disheveled, and freckled pale skin. He is rather thin, but certainly not scrawny. His muscles are lean and built for speed rather than strength.
Powers: Brief time manipulation. He is capable of stopping time for up to 6 seconds per every five minutes. Not the most impressive of gifts, but it can prove very useful in situations where just a few seconds could mean the difference between someone's life or death. Like most agents, he is also quite skilled with guns and knives.
And also painting. He loves to paint.Personality: Having powers that are sometimes ridiculed and a personality that is easy to take advantage of, Carter has had to develop fairly thick skin over the years. There are things that still bother him when they are said, but for the most part it is very difficult to anger him. He doesn't have many friends, but he enjoys the company of those who give him the time of day, which happens to be very few. Because of this, he tends to cling onto those who do spend time with him, something that unfortunately tends to push people even further away.
History: Carter did not have an overly troubled past before he came to SHIELD. While he did deal with a bit of bullying as a child, he grew up within a family who had always supported him. Even after his gifts were realized, his family took it in stride and accepted that his newfound abilities were a apart of him. After he was discover by SHIELD he trained for years at the Academy of Operations, and he now lives on base at one of SHIELD's New York facilities as a field agent. His life has unsurprisingly since grown to be less flawless over the years as he's endured several work-related incidents, an abusive relationship, and the inability to see his family as much as he would like. He feels that he really can't complain, though. For an Agent of SHIELD, he's had it easy.
Other: Carter has a pet betta fish named Regal in is room on base. He also loves ice cream and popcorn, sometimes at the same time.

| Oliver Doyle |Age: 32
Gender: Male
Sexual orientation: Asexual
Relationship status: Uninterested
Side: Villain
Occupation: Agent of HYDRA
Powers: None
History: Oliver came from a line of Hydra loyalists dating back to the early 1900s. It was always expected for him to follow suit, and he never had any plans to break with tradition. His upbringing was strict and borderline abusive. As the only child born to his parents, he was trained particularly hard in preparation for his inevitable future. Despite familial connections, however, gaining a name for himself as an adult within Hydra wasn't exactly a cake walk, either. While brutish and harsh in nature, his father was no shining example of competence. He was a face among the masses, which was something that Oliver wished to surpass. He didn't want to be a simple lackey for the rest of his existence. He strove to be one of the elite. While clawing his way through the pecking order did eventually land him in a higher position than his father, it still isn't quite what Oliver wants.
Personality: Cold and manipulative, Oliver has learned from a young age to suppress his own personal feelings and replace them with ones which paint him in a far more favorable light to his superiors. He is capable of becoming whatever personality best suits the situation at hand, crafting subtle compliments for those he wishes to impress just as easily as he can make a man cry during interrogation. Oliver also prides himself on having an exceedingly strong mind. While not superhuman in nature, the control which he has over his own brain is a skill that has been near perfected by him. His pain threshold in particular is extremely high.

| Mark Delaney |Age: 39
Gender: Male
Sexual orientation: Straight
Relationship Status: Married
Side: Heroes
Occupation: Agent of SHIELD
Powers: None
Personality: Blunt, efficient, and steadfast. Mark is sometimes criticized for his cold indifference toward other people's needs. He has a pretty rigid set of morals and a minimal amount of pity for the people who step outside of that mold. He's one of Fury's go-to agents for field work due to his zero qualms attitude toward making tough calls "for the greater good" and getting the job done without much fuss. He's definitely the type to shoot first and ask questions later. As a result, Mark has gained a bit of a reputation for taking things perhaps a bit too far in certain cases where enemy causalities might have been otherwise avoidable, but he'd rather have a reputation for killing bad guys and saving civilians than the other way around. So, his callous rep doesn't bother him in the slightest. That isn't to say that he's entirely unfriendly, though. Mark can humorous and playful at times, and his loyalty is quite unmatched. He'd sooner die than betray the people who he's sworn himself to, which includes his family, his colleagues, and country. Mark also has a weakness when it comes to small children, since he is the father of two.
History: Like many within his line of work, Mark's life within SHIELD began at the Academy of Operations, where he trained for several intense years before graduating and being assigned primarily to the Manhattan base. He initially met his wife, Clarisa, while doing undercover work at a bakery of all places, but eventually came clean about his occupation once things had become serious between them. All went surprisingly well and the two married not long after, and even began to build a family together. Originally, he wanted for them to move closer to his work, and that possibility was something which they'd discussed for years in preparation for the move, but his wife became afraid after the Chitauri invasion and all talk of moving closer to Mark's work was immediately dropped. It is because of this fear that he now has to drive 4 hours to get to work each day, and why he doesn't get to see his family as much as he'd like.
Other fun facts: Mark is a big dog lover and is rather fond of his family's elderly Rottweiler, Spike. He also enjoys going on hikes with his wife and kids whenever he has a day off. Being outdoors and away from the city is something that he wishes he could do more often.

Relationship Status: In a relationship with Jemma Simmons.
Side: Heroes
Powers: None. However, he has genius-level intelligence.
Occupation: SHIELD agent. Engineer. Specializes in weapons and technology.
Personality: A bit socially awkward, Fitz can be a little clumsy and difficult to understand at times, but he has a brilliant mind and a kind heart. He is extremely loyal to SHIELD, and he loves inventing and creating new gadgets.
History: Fitz was born and raised in Scotland before attending a SHIELD training academy where he met his equally brilliant best friend, Jemma Simmons. After graduating, Fitz and Simmons joined SHIELD and were both selected to be on Phil Coulson's team as it's science division. While working for Coulson, Fitz also became good friends with team mates Skye and Grant Ward, and he was devastated by Ward's eventual betrayal. Because of an attempt on his life by Ward, Fitz suffered hypoxia which caused damage to his brain and aphasia as a result. He has managed to overcome the effects by now, but the experience has hardened him somewhat. Now working at SHIELD's base in New York, Leo Fitz has been continuing to help with the fight against Hydra.

| Karen Stevens |Age: 47
Gender: Female
Sexual orientation: Straight
Relationship Status: Divorced
Side: Heroes
Occupation: Scientist and Physician
Appearance: Karen is often described as having a stern face, but she doesn't wear the expression constantly, despite what some might believe. Her eyes are blue-grey and she requires glasses in order to see. Her hair is somewhat short, light brown, and graying. She is tall, but has a 'wispy' build that sometimes makes her appearance resemble that an a preying mantis hanging her patients.
Powers: None.
Personality: She prefers to act as professional as possible while working, taking her job as a doctor and scientist for SHIELD very seriously, as just one little slip up could cost someone their life. Her job has also caused her to become a bit desensitized and morally grey, having tested and experimented on a large variety of living organisms, even perfectly sentient ones, including humans. However, despite her sometimes cold exterior, she isn't nearly half as bad as one would assume. She genuinely tries to be as gentle with her subjects as possible and is never needlessly cruel. She has even refused to do certain things for Fury in the past which she considered too morally wrong, perfectly willing to risk her job in order to prevent someone else's suffering.
History: Karen Stevens married her college sweetheart. It may have seemed romantic at the time, but things eventually turned sour as the reality of adult responsibilities blindsided them. She and her husband tried very hard to make the best of their marriage and even had two wonderful children in the process, but after years and years of putting up with their glaringly obvious incompatibility, they decided to divorce. During her time as a wife and stay at home mother, Stevens had put her dreams aside in order to focus on family, but after their split, she once again delved into her passion of scientific and medical study. It took a fair amount of time and hard work, but she eventually was able to land herself a job at SHIELD and quickly established herself as one of the organization's finest. Her children now grown, Karen is able to follow her passion for work, and also spend her free time with her family, including a beautiful baby grandson.
Other: Enjoys reading, has a fascination with human biology, and loves the autumn weather.
