Suddenly, a voice comes came out of nowhere, stopping you all from their chatter. It seems lighthearted and out of place. "Is this thing even on?" Yes, the voice is discomforting... "Ehh... Anyway, New students, please make your way to the gymnasium so we may start this year's opening ceremony. With this, I welcome you all!"

This would of been a very short and somewhat useless pause if I chose to make one, so I went ahead and timeskiped until everyone made their way to the gymnasium.

When you enter the gymnasium, one by one, it is set up as any normal opening ceremony. Nothing seems too off about it, that is, until... "Oi, Is everyone here? Well then, it's time to begin!" And with that, what appears to be a stuffed bear pops out of nowhere, landing on top of the podium.

In this event, the students can directly interact directly with Monobear, and can get information out of him this way.

That huge school building was built on a prime plot of real estate in the very center of the city, as if it was the center of the world itself.




"Hope's Peak Private Academy"…

It is a super-exclusive academy, officially recognized by the government, aspiring to gather and cultivate high school students excelling in their respective academic fields.

General opinion is that graduating this school leads to certain success in life.

It is a school with several hundred years of history, legendary for sending its top students into leading roles in every professional field time after time.

Its stated goal is to raise this nation's "hope" that will bear the country's future on their shoulders. Accordingly, some people call this remarkable place the "Academy of Hope".



To be accepted as a student, there are two qualifications:

"You must be currently enrolled at a high school"
"You must super-excel at your field of expertise"

The school doesn't advertise for new students. To be accepted one must be scouted and invited by the school itself.

And so, looking at the front gate of that super-amazing academy...

Upupupupupu~ Welcome to the Chickensmoothie Dangan Ronpa roleplay! Make sure to read all the below information, it's all very important!

First of all, for those who haven't heard of Dangan Ronpa...

Dangan Ronpa (or its slightly longer full name, Dangan Ronpa: Academy of Hope and High School Students of Despair) is a game for the PSP published in Japan by Spike on November 25, 2010. The publisher calls it a "High-speed Mystery Action Adventure". In reality it's mostly a Japanese-style adventure game, but there's some shooting in it. And a little rhythm game.

...and I suggest you read Orenronen's playthrough of it! Though, I won't put a direct link, as I can't say it is exactly child friendly!

Now, because of the game's complex nature, it will work a bit differently that most roleplays, that is, there will be a sense of real mystery within it. Fist of all, I ask that you have multiple characters, preferably about three or more, but two at the least. This is because some of the characters will be killed! but how will the murders work you might ask? It's actually quite simple.

The murder will send a pm to me* stating who they murdered and how they pulled it off. From that I shall come up with "evidence" they may have left behind, and PM the user roleplaying that character to announce it to them. When another character walks into the crime scene, I will post an "A body has been found!" announcement, and describe the crime scene. A school trial will be held in the roleplay, in which I will try to slightly guide you OOC. If the wrong character is named, then the roleplay will continue until the right person is named.

If someone is on their last character, then they will not be allowed to commit a murder, and it is against the rules for them to be killed off.

When all users are on their last character, you should try to begin working on finding the mastermind.

School Rules

1. You must have more than one character!
2. Try to use OCs, but a few cannon characters are ok.
3. Try to type at least two sentences per post, more is appreciated!
4. Nothing against CS rules, this means gore will be described only lightly.
5. No killing off a user's last character.
6. Understand when murdering, you are killing off you're own character as well!
7. Use proper grammar.
8. When OOC, or out of character, use (( OOC )) [[ OOC ]] or some other identification.
9. You must have read through Dangan Ronpa, played it, watched the animation, etc. Otherwise this would be all spoilers!
10. Please do not start until all the slots are filled. If a certain amount of time passes and we do not receive new members, I will shorten the amount we need. I will also make it larger if necessary.
11. Be nice to other members OOC; if their character is mean or killed yours off, don't fuss. After all, it's all to be expected.
12. PM me if there is any trouble.
