Wally inhaled deeply and placed a hand on his side, the other reached the back of his neck and gave it a scratch. He was clearly flustered, and he knew that it would only be a matter of time before someone would notice, that is if they hadn't already done so. Then again, who wouldn't react similarly to being imprisoned in such a disconsolate atmosphere. Hard to remain positive when everything's crashing down around you. The redhead lowered his head, as if to hide his face from the coterie of heroes. He did this to ensure no one would see his breakdown, if it ever came down to it. And oh how close it was coming to that. It seemed as though every time he had finally managed to get a grip on his nerves, someone new would walk into 'Hotel Hell', only to be greeted by not a friendly smile behind the front desk, but a group of individuals who had no idea what they were doing. Some first impression they made, looking like a complete mess. Wally stood in silence for the majority of the conversation going on around him; his expression unchanging. He could hardly think of anything fruitful to say to the boy who couldn't ever seem to contain his exuberance. Oh, right, he's here now. How- why does this keep happening? He just couldn't find the reason behind all of this madness, why it was that so many good people had been vigorously dragged into this city of eternal suffering. And it was such a bland place when you thought about it; reduced to the simplest of resources and regulations, but also such a pain. Amazing how much wrong could happen when there was no one to oppose the troublemakers.
All of a sudden; Kid's stomach grumbled, which was what snapped him out of brooding session. It hadn't really dawned on him before that, -since he'd actually managed to ignore his hunger- but now he was really craving for something rich in calories. He didn't say anything about it though, such a request hadn't even crossed his mind. Wally couldn't complain; he didn't have any valid reason to, not when Barry was caught in such the precarious situation. He definitely didn’t want to sound like some obnoxious child who whined about something so miniscule. That was something they really didn't need right now. The fact that Bart had stumbled upon them only troubled his already distressed mind more. It definitely provided a complication... Okay, more like a huge inescapable problem. With the addition of another speedster, he couldn't really see their circumstances getting any better. Not with the impending famine.
Only when he'd been addressed to in the conversation did Wally finally agree to say something. He raised his head instantly and looked at Barry. He forced a smile and straightened his posture before his uncle got the chance to call him out for slouching. "Oh, well it's kinda-" he began, but he was cut off by the most loquacious person standing in the room at that moment. Of course, how could I forget. Kid paused and ran his fingers through his red locks of hair; directed his gaze to Bart and allowed him to explain. He probably would have answered the question quicker anyways.
The teenager cringed when Bart began to struggle with his uniform's 'stealth mode', but eventually his expression lightened and slowly evolved into a smirk. Wally chuckled and shook his head for a brief moment, he'd stopped when the youngest speedster had rushed out the door. The fact that he was meant to be keeping watch had almost completely escaped him. They might as well fire me now. The redhead hastily returned to his original spot at the front door, relieved to find that it had been blue beetle to stumble onto the hotel's grounds. He also realized that Bart hadn't at all heeded Barry's advice. "When we tell you to lower your speed to zero, we mean zero, Bart." He scolded.
