Recent Rarity Change List [January Update in progress!!]

a little late to put my opinion in but where you guys were saying that thousands of a pet would need to be deleted? I dunno this is how I would imagine it being..

(making the numbers small to make it easier to explain, not real numbers)

Say there were 2000 of a certain spider on the site. The rarity was very common. But it was at the very low end of very common, lets say... the largest amount of pets befor becoming omg so common would be 4000 of the pet.

In the database, to make a pet go from very common to common, you would need 1900 or less.

If you deleted 200 pets, it might not seem like it would make a big difference, but it pushed it under that 1900 mark, thus changing the rarity.

If that theory is correct, couldn't deleting 50 spiders possibly change the rarity?

unless rarities work differently and im just rambling :P I apologize if this doesnt make sense xD

I am going to say no, as we are talking real numbers. ^.^ deleting 50 very commons when there's easily 50,000 or more (there's what, over 200,000 users? so I am probably lowballing it) in circulation means that it won't make a difference. but take 10,000...and yes, of course it would make a difference as that's 1/5 of them.

Makes sense to me xD

Theoretically, that could be possible. The thing is that we just don't know when that is the case. xD
I mean, you could potentially delete 5000 pets without changing the rarity... that is a possibility as well... not to mention that if that were really the case this time... well! That's a really, really rare occurrence XD

That cat's been uncommon for like a year or two xD I've been sitting waiting for the litter to go rare, but it will never come.

That's it's littermate, and it happens to be common still. I know the other one has been uncommon for a long time.

They are both new rares, from end of March :3
