Guide to ‘Official’ CS Dog Names

This is a great way to look for names. Are you the one to come up with them, Atwood? Or do the artists tell you?

The vast majority of the names are the ones that people in the forum come up with for the dogs - mainly I look in the monthly discussion threads to see what people are calling litters and individuals, but I also check the trade board to see what they're being called there. :3 Sometimes the names people come up with for a litter are very different from what the artist called them, and for the most part the artists tend to not get much say in what their dogs are called. X3 However, on occasion an artist will not-so-subtly encourage a particular name or say they don't care for another name, so in those cases I'll usually go with what the artist prefers. With a few litters, the dogs end up not really getting a commonly-used name in the forums, and in those cases I'll sometimes post them in this thread and look for suggestions on what they should be called. With the much older litters that never got individual names (like the Grey 2nd Gens), I just assigned those ones names based on their most distinctive characteristics, so the name is more like a description in those cases. :3

When they first came out, people referred to them by their eye colors if I remember correctly. ^^ I do not really see much mention of them anymore, so I would not know if that is what others call them now. ^^;
