Adding onto this, discussion about hoarding isn't really relevant to this topic. Check out Seasonal's guide here which deals with hoarding (which is also on the wiki ;]) or feel free to PM me about it, but it has not much to do with rarity changes.

with everyone being able to adopt them for free, and almost every person getting at least one (i got..three, i think it was?) , there was no chance. xD it's just popularity that drove them up in value, is all.

Honestly, I was expecting a lot of the Halloween pets to be uncommon, especially the banner dogs, since almost all were in demand. So it's amazing a lot ended up rare...

No. They were SO popular and everyone bought like, a ton of them... x_x'

definantly not soon. people hoarded these like crazy, and bought tons of them. they are gorgeous.

Probably late next year, to be honest, if not longer. D;
As mentioned before, a lot of people went crazy for them and there are huge hoards of them.
