You're relatively correct!
I based this litter on the theme "painting", and the "brushstrokes" were placed on all of the horses to imitate fur or feathers ^^
They aren't all from a single period or art movement, though. I kind of took the theme and picked some of my favorites at random for inspiration!

I'm pretty sure they're based on ducks in general, but it looks like the red mallard was based off of the meme.
