set exclusives: green android,
strike lolita, strike clydesdale(?)
clyde was able to be bought separately! as seen in this post
xxxif you count one id above and one id below that clyde there are no other store horses next to it either.
the green android was the only set exclusive from all the 2009-2011 store pets.
the first set exclusive besides that was the cheshire cat at the end of 2012/into early 2013
the original store pet guide also confirms they could be bought seperatly or a full set for 60c$
part 2HIGHER-END TRADING"Higher end" as in any and all OMGSR pets, and very rare pets which are proven to be very high on the very rare scale or spectrum.
Store pets are also included here because store pets never get rereleased and their supply never increases, even though all the other pets on CS do get rereleased. Which means as CS' userbase gets bigger and more people with those store pets go inactive, there are less and less in circulation and they only go up in rarity!
Here is an index list of helpful threads to help you determine the worth of whichever pet in particular you are trading/trying to trade for:

'Recent' Rarity Changes v2 ///
Old thread (Great for digging!)-
ORIGINAL Store Pet GuideUSING RARITY CHANGESIf two pets changed to the same rarity at the same time, it's safe to assume that they are close enough in rarity to be considered fair swaps!
Examples:
-Sunback, Speckled Rats, Noncoon and many others all went OMGSR the same time | (2019 Jan)
-UR Tiger Dog and UR Rat went OMGSR same time | (2011 June)
-Red X Dog and Angel Advent went VR same time | (August 2010)
Yes with the rarity change archives thread in particular these rarities were made and changed using one of the old rarity systems. However that doesn't totally invalidate this thread as being extremely useful!
You can easily tell that a Scarf PPS is worth more than a Red Malk Dragon, because the Scarf PPS changed first so it was higher on the very rare scale than the dragon.
Important note:
don't use the rarity change archives to trade a store pet for a non-store-pet pet! As said at the beginning of this post store pets only go up in worth, so they have already passed the other pets that they changed the same time as!
Only use the rarity change archives for store pets if you're trading a store pet for another store petPETS THAT HAVE NO RARITY CHANGE DATA:Generally speaking there is a large gap between 08 July's and 08 August's. There's a large gap between those and 08 Septembers. This is how it typically goes:
08 July Pets > 08 August Pets > 08 September Pets > 08 Advent Pets > 08 Octobers/Novembers
Obviously there are some exceptions, so make sure you do research on your particular pet. Luckily the most notable exceptions DO have rarity change data which exempts them from this.
Some exceptions are:
-
08 Advent - White Growing Scarf Dog and Blue Growing Scarf Dog |(VR April/May 2013)
-
08 November - Joker Dog | (VR May 2010)
-
08 July - CEG and BEG Galaxy Dogs | These were available all throughout August, not just July.
So there was more time to adopt more.
Extended release guide. There also weren't adoption limits back then, and as these were quite popular more were adopted than most other July's!
Also the 08 Rareness guide linked above is helpful. Using that we can assume any of the Toxics and the balloon/nonballoon litter can swap fairly, among others. Please note that guide was mainly just speculation and not any solid fact!
All time OMGSR Pets: Can all be considered fair swaps as we have no proof any are more or less rare than each other. Since they never changed, we don't know where exactly they stand on the OMGSR scale/spectrum
With the exception of the Zebras, as Tess has stated they are the rarest pets on the site (Plains > Grevy's > Mountain). This was a long time ago so we don't know if it's still 100% true, but it's a safe assumption as they're still being released in their own special way as they have years ago. The exception of the zebras is the mountain zebra, as due to a mistake there were a few more adopted than there should’ve been, and that was still enough to drop it’s worth and caused it to fluctuate between very rare and OMGSR a few times before.
These are the all-time OMGSRs:
Plain's Zebra - Grevy's Zebra - UR Phoenix - UR Bee - UR Hollywing Dog - UR Pineapple - UR Foal - UR Peach - UR Zonkey - UR Cinnabon - UR Fox - UR Peas - UR Galaxy Cat PPS - UR Strawberry Shortcake
We can assume that those are all worth more than pets that turned omgsr after those pets. So a Blue malk dragon PPS that turned OMGSR in 2019 is worth less than a UR Bee which was already steadily OMGSR for years before and has never dropped while the dragon was still only very rare!
STORE PETSwip; still need to add the other store pets
This is where they should stand amongst each other:
WHAT ABOUT DEMAND?!This guide tells you how to find what your pet is ACTUALLY going forYou can see for yourself what people are actually offering for your pet and what people are actually accepting as successful trade offers. Find what you can expect to have to pay to get a certain pet, and what you can expect to receive as an offer on yours.
DON'T ALWAYS BELIEVE WHAT THE FTT TELLS YOU IS "DEMAND". Look for yourself so you know what to expect in an offer, odds are you will get a much different answer. Most likely you'll find you can get
much more out of your "low demand" pet than what the FTT tells you. Or you may find that
nobody in their right mind will willingly offer you what the FTT claims your "high demand" pet "goes for" and you'll just be turning down actually good and amazing offers trying to get the unrealistic amounts the FTT forces onto people. The thread is well-known for exaggerating, over-inflating demand, encouraging plain greed and creating false "demand"; treating anything even remotely sought after as the only pets that matter on CS any everyone else as worthless utter garbage. Inflating the sought after pets to unrealistic amounts nobody actually wants to pay and lowballing everything else labeled as trash.
There is no such thing as a set-in-stone "demand value" that a pet always goes for. Would you pay an OMGSR dog for just a few very rare ponies? I gladly would, but not everyone else would. What you would pay and consider normal or fair can be completely different from someone else.
Besides that, try communicating with your trade partner and working out something you're both happy with. You don’t need other people or threads with
completely different personal goals, experiences, playing styles and likes/dislikes to tell you how to value
YOUR pet.
LOWER-END TRADING"Lower end" as in anything rare and under, and the very rares which are newly very rare or on the lower end of the very rare tag spectrum/scale. This section does not include store pets or OMGSRs, please see "higher-end" trading for those
-SAME RARITY PETS - THE THREE-MONTH RULEOne pet can be swapped fairly for another pet of the same rarity that was released within 3 months of it. So an April 2010 rare is fair for a July 2010 rare. A 2018 January uncommon is fair for a 2018 April uncommon
-TRADING IN BETWEEN DIFFERENT RARITIES - RARITY MATHGenerally speaking this is the most widely-accepted form of trading in between rarities
This post has a lot of rarity math broken down for people who only want a quick look-through. The 2:1 ratio typically applies to all pets uncommon and under and most lower very rares. With rares, it depends on who you trade as many different people use different ratios. The most commonly used however are
4:1 and 2:1, but there isn't any right or wrong to any of them.
2 OMGSC = 1 VC
2 VC = 1 C
2 C = 1 UC
2 R = 1 VR
2 UC = 1 R3 UC = 1 R
4 UC = 1 R5 UC = 1 R
With
lower-end 2008 very rares in particular: 2 09 rares + 2010 R
OMGSRS ARE TYPICALLY EXEMPT FROM RARITY MATH. See the next post for those.
Please keep in mind extended release pets! These are valued at the last date of their release.
Extended release guide Ex: Those 2008 2nd gens are valued as August 2009 pets instead of any 08s because they were available much longer and more could be adopted!
