Occasionally I get people asking me how I do lines/what my settings are/that sort of thing. So I figured I'd throw this together real quick with all my settings and how to!
1. Sketch is the sketch, I use the default pen tool usually in some sort of not-black color so I can easily differentiate it from my lines later. I lower the opacity before I line over it.
2. Using the pen tool at 255% (max) Opacity, 2 px size, smoothing ~40%, and with size pressure (no opacity pressure), I make the lines.
3. I go back over the entire lines with a ~3 px size eraser with size pressure (note: not on by default with Oekaki) and sharpen the edges, thin certain areas, and clean up the lines overall. I get rid of all the blunt edges and make delicate features thinner.
4. Now to get a perfect fit color layer and also speed up the entire coloring process, I duplicate my lines layer, lock it, and color it entirely with another color.
5. On that duplicated colored layer, I unlock and use the paintbucket fill and fill in all the big areas
6. Using the pen tool, I fill in the rest of the insides being careful not to touch the outer edges
7. Drag that color layer under the original lines, lock it - done! I have clean lines and a clean color layer. I also usually color in the lines layer with another color and set to multiply 100% opacity.
And that's basically the gist of it! If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this thread and I'm happy to answer c:
