Surprisingly BerryPelt is scared of birds. When BerryPelt was a kit a hawk swooped down into the camp and almost took off with him. Luckily a warrior in the clan was watching and was able to pounce, wounding the hawk and causing it to fly away with empty talons. The flapping of the hawk's wings, sharp cry, and even sharper talons closing around his body left its mark on BerryPelt. He has been scared of birds ever since. Eventually BerryPelt became an apprentice and with that he had to leave the safety of the camp. While learning to hunt BerryPelt discovered just how debilitating his fear was, freezing at the sound of wings. Now while hunting for the clan BerryPelt chooses to focus only on small mammals, like squirrels and mice. In order to prove himself he has become the most efficient hunter in the clan, even without being able to catch birds. While on patrol if anybody startles a bird into flight BerryPelt will crouch and freeze for a few moments until another patrol member can shake him out of it.The rest of the clan is very supportive of BerryPelt and they all have learned the best way to calm him down if he has an episode.
