Tier One: Write or draw about the first time you met and touched your echobi. Adopts (both free and purchased) and customs are often fully feral when they come into Direwood, whether that is due to them being rehabbed from the wild or coming in from a neglect case. You'll meet them when you first pick them up from the Direwood facility. Pups are much tamer, and you will meet them upon birth (even if training is started after they are fully grown).

If my first Echobi was Hell, Lisette was Heaven. She was essentially an overgrown puppy, and bore the scars from being put in her place by others. She wasn't aggressive like Dyre was, but instead... shy. It sounds kind of funny to call something so large shy, but.. she was. Our first meeting consisted of her sitting as far away from me as possible and watching, hyperalert. We ended up having to use a catch pole to get her home; which I hated and I knew would tarnish our first impressions.

Her first week was spent letting her decompress. Dyre was a little aggressive towards her, so I let her have her own space. Lisette would get a little bit closer every day, up until.. well, I got cocky. I reached my hand out the little bit of distance left between us, only for her to bolt. It took us another week to get back to the distance we'd been at. I covered an apple in peanut butter and offered it to her, from my hand this time. The echobi sniffed and lapped at it unsurely, our eyes locked. I slowly averted my eyes, doing my best to not be a threat, and..

I felt her grab the apple, and then press her big wet nose into my palm. I dare not move, not wanting to scare her. Our first real touch. I slowly looked back to her, and she moved back away. I'd take it, it was a good first step!
