A broken kalon from a broken world,
He was born in the year 2121 right after a terrible epidemic had begun in kits that would spread to adults and kill them. The American Government had begun collecting young kits living in poverty and putting them down or testing on them to try to stop the epidemic.
He was not a carrier of the disiese but it was impossible to to tell at his age. His Parents never even named him incase he was taken away, he got stuck with 'little One'.
He parents wanted to save him, so they snuck away in the middle of the night and tried to cross the boarder. Unfortunately they failed and One's father was shot at the boarder. After fleeing some locals told them about a nearby place where they could be safe.
A refuge, Affectionately know as "The Barrel" by its inhabitants.
It was a steep hilled valley. With houses built in the side of the hill.
Growing up there was tough, and illegal.
The everyday life was peaceful, but there was always a looming threat. One would wonder what lied beyond the valley, he knew there was danger out there. He had the constant reminders of his poor father who could barely walk on a good day and the times when the hunting parties never returned.
There were few kalons his own age, and a lot of the older kits there were worried he carried the epidemic, so he grew u to be more independent and quiet.
One was showered in love as a kit, and learned early to respect the older kalons.

He is also quote defensive of his usefulness since others sometimes looked down on him due to his limp, and how he was called little one until he was 17.
