Viscet Name: Yukio
Gender: Male
Gender for breeding purposes: Male
Personality: Yukio is a sweet viscet with a heart as golden as they come. He's friendly and quite the social butterfly, liking it when he's surrounded by friends and familiar faces. He's courteous and kind, and likes to makes others smile. He's creative and ambitious. He fights every battle with a laugh and a smile, often using it to escape reality sometimes. He tends to to bottle up his feels pings rather than make everyone else worry. He doesn't like being pitied as it ruins the strong, put together image he's created for himself. But he finds it easier that way, helps him smile through tough times and comfort others in need. He can't help but put others above him, he's just that kind of caring guy.

Write a story about this viscet. You can write as much as you want. The more the better.

They are not being renumbered as it would be too much to do that. We will use the missing number at a later date.

Personality:
Dominik is a kind viscet. He can be blunt at times, he barely ever meets new viscets outside of the ones living in his village- and his neighbors are used to his dull nature. Even with his antisocial-esque personality, his intentions are for the good. Dominik loves to go hunting and fishing, and mainly would do so to provide food for his small village. The viscet would say his favorite hobby was ice fishing.

It seems that all of the viscets living in the same area as Dominik have adapted to the harsh winter cold, as they all function fine. But tourists and other foreign viscets (usually ones coming from very warm areas) would practically suffer in the below freezing temperatures. Dominik would help them out, give them tips on how to stay warm, and would even provide a warm skin hide made by yours truly.

Some may call him a brute. Ever since he was born, Dominik had been trained by his father to hunt, kill, and skin animals. Such a skill had made it easier for the viscet to survive in the wild, and he could fend for himself easily. Childhood wasn't easy for him, with harsh training from his father, coupled with all of the mishaps a small viscling like him couldn't handle, but Dominik has looked past these faults- and promised himself to be a better viscet and always help others out, no matter what the cost.

For the most part, he's a tidy viscet. There is a huge pile of fur hides in the middle of his home, all skinned by yours truly. The pile stuck out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of his clean home, as it's pretty big, as well as messy. Dominik absolutely loved it though, the furs were so soft, and he feels like he could sleep forever in the pile.

The viscet really liked polar bears.. a lot. The viscet had a lot of similarities with them, gentle giants who can get aggressive if provoked. Sometimes while ice fishing, he would spot one of these animals strolling around. Dominik loved to toss fish at them, and watch them gracefully catch and eat it.

In all, Dominik is a benevolent gentle giant who would help others out with no hesitation. Being trained to hunt as a child turning into a hobby as an adult, and he was the main hunter who supplied food for his town. Most people would never step foot into his village, for fear of the way below freezing temperatures, but Dominik wouldn't have it any other way.

History:
'Ah...! My little baby! My Dominik! Honey, come see your newly hatched son!'

'Son? Check again and make sure... Very good. Da, he will make a great killer.'

'Viktor you will NOT turn him into a murderer. Let go of my baby! LET GO OF HIM-'

---

'Huff.... Dominik.. Your training starts now.'

---

"Faster Dominik, GO. FASTER," His father yelled harshly. Currently, he was making the viscling run laps around the forest, and the cold was starting to get to him. Each breath filled his lungs with a painful chill, and he felt like passing out any moment. Regardless, the child tried his hardest to speed up, small legs burning in protest.

"STOP! Good enough for today. Go home and get the axe. We are getting firewood." Dominik collapsed as soon as he heard the word 'stop', hopeful for time to rest, but his heart sunk as he listened to his father. Every day for as long as he could remember, the viscling has been made to do these extreme exercises and chores. For fear of his father, the pup obeyed every command as best as he could.

Opening the door to his home, Dominik weakly grabbed the axe and went back into the forest, knowing his father is waiting. Walking hastily back to the spot he left from, the viscling looks around for his father.

"Here, Dominik." The viscet in question suddenly spoke up. He pointed to a tree with a pretty small trunk, and did a swinging motion. The pup walked up to the tree, axe in hand, and stood up on his hind legs with his tail out for balance. Dominik began swinging and cutting at the tree, and then another tree, and then another...

---

"WAKE UP, WE HAVE TO GO!" Rudely pulled into consciousness, Dominik jumps with a start. Looking around the house, he sees his father briskly filling up a satchel with items.

"Your mother.... She must have sent some viscets to search for you.. Damn, that woman..." He mumbled under his breath. Slinging the satchel over his neck, Viktor grabbed his son by the nape and booked it out of the house. Still trying to wake up, Dominik lets out a low whine in protest. As he has grown quite a bit over the past few years, the prepubescent viscet's feet barely scraped the snow as his father carried him.

He wasn't sure where he was taking him. Dominik had always been suspicious of the fact that their home is in the middle of nowhere, a house of solitude. His father was paranoid of someone (namely, his mother) finding and taking him back. Oh, how he wished to see his mother again. It's been so long...

Viktor had been running for a very long time. Dominik could hear every winding breath he took, and could tell he was slowing down. They seemed to still be in the middle of nowhere, civilization not even in sight.

"Stop right there!" A sudden voice yelled, and his father ceased his pace in surprise. A huge viscet leading a small pack emerged from the trees, right in front of the duo.

"On Anastasiya's orders, we are here to retrieve him from you," The leader of the pack pointed to Dominik with his eyes, "We will not hesitate to kill."

Dominik's father had to be smart enough to know that they will kill him, if needed, to get his son. He cursed and weighed his chances. The training he had put into his son... All to go to waste? But, his life mattered more.

Setting Dominik down on the snow, Viktor showed a nasty grin. "Take him," he said, and began walking backwards. "Do not forget me, Dominik. I shaped you into what you are today. May we meet again soon, da?" Throwing a toxic look at the pack of viscets, Dominik's father ran deeper into the forest, and the teenage viscet watched as his figure slowly grew smaller.

"Huh... I expected him to put up a fight," The leader spoke softly, and looked down at the viscet. He looked scared and helpless, not knowing what to do since his father just ran away.

"Calm down, please! I'm telling the truth. Your mother sent me to rescue you from.. him." He told Dominik gently, "I'm Diego. Consider us your friends." He gestured to the small pack of large viscets surrounding the two.

"Let's get you home, alright?"

Image

Dominik huffed as Diego told yet another pun. He's being doing this the whole trip and it was starting to get to him, as well as the other pack members. Thankfully, the viscet could see the outline of a village in the distance. He just has to bear with this for a few more minutes, and then he could see his mother for the first time in forever.

"...They raise the roof! Eh? Didja like that one?" The large viscet laughed. No one responded, it seemed as if they all had tuned him out. Oblivious to this, Diego continued. On and on, until they reached the entrance to the town.

"We're here! Can't you wait to see your mother?" The dark viscet asked. Listening for once, Dominik nodded excitedly. He had forgotten how she looked, him being just a newborn when he last saw her.

The pack led him to one particular house, that seemed to be swelling with warmth. It just felt like home. Dominik could tell that this was his mother's house.

"She should be here... I'll knock," Diego rapped three times on the door, and a barely-there 'I'm coming!' could be heard from inside. Dominik's heart skipped a beat. He was finally seeing his mother.

A few moments later, footsteps were heard and the door flew open. "Yes?-" The viscet behind the door paused. "...Dominik?"

He stared. She was beautiful. He was almost an exact replica of her, the shiny pelts were identical, her's being a lighter shade. "Mother..?"

She gasped and quickly scooped him up in a big hug. "Oh! My Dominik, my baby boy! You found him!" She swung him around a few times and set him down. The female stroked his cheek. "I know I'm not dreaming. Just had my morning coffee!"

"Heh, yeah!" Diego spoke up. "His uh, father, didn't even put up a fight. Dropped him and took off," He told her the memory. She frowned at the mention of her ex-mate.

"Wish you killed him," All of the viscets did a double take. No one would've expected sweet little Anastasiya to wish death upon another being. "I can't believe what he had planned for my little baby," Again, she gave Dominik a long hug. "Thank you so much, Diego."

He smiled. "No problem, Ana! Consider it a repayment," Dominik wondered what his mother could've done to receive such a favor. "See ya later, me and the boys are goin' on a hunt," With a wink, the tall viscet and his packmates left, leaving the duo alone.

"Dominik... Come inside. You're home now," With a loving motherly gaze, she opened the door wider and let Dominik inside. A small tear escaped his eye, and he breathed out.

Home.

Story:
Dominik lives in the 'Cold Pole', in Verkhoyansk, Russia. It's one of the most dangerous places to live, due to its harsh winter conditions, but the male viscet has adapted to his environment and finds the weather quite pleasant, actually.

Today, Dominik decided to go fishing at one of the ice holes that was a bit far from his home. The viscet put all of his essentials in a hefty satchel that was slung over his back, as well as his favorite coat, and set off.

As he walked, the viscet admired the scenery around him. He found the brightly colored white snow to be very pretty to look at, sparkling in the sun, as well as how it contrasted softly with the sky. Ah, the meteorologist said there would be an aurora borealis tonight... The male decided he would get back home early so he could prepare to watch it.

Continuing his walk, Dominik noticed a big, brown lump that was slowly coming into view. It looked like an animal of some sort, and it wasn't moving. Protective instincts kicking in, the viscet began running towards it.

Once he reached it, Dominik found out it was another viscet. Obviously not from this area, since they were darker in color and had some odd mutations that Dominik had never seen before. They seemed to be passed out, probably from hypothermia. Taking a closer look, the male viscet found a smaller lump, that was cuddled up to the viscet's chest fur. It looks like a viscling?

"проклятье..." He cursed. The viscling suddenly twitched, and he leaned down to nose it. It seemed to be waking up.

The viscling slowly turned around in the passed out viscet's arms, and opened it's eyes. Seeing the big viscet in front of it, it jumped and let out a small yelp.

Dominik was quick to ease the viscling. "Calm down, please, I want to help you," He reassured, hopeful that the pup knew english. It seemed to understand, nodding, and calmed down. He then pointed at the viscet who was currently still unconscious. "Is he alright?"

An incredulous look appeared on the viscling's face, and it wriggled out from under the viscet that was holding it. "Does he look okay? HE'S. PASSED. OUT," He began nudging and punching the body, trying to wake it up. "C'mon, Tim, wake up!"

Dominik let out a small snort at the viscling's attitude. "He will die if we don't get him somewhere warm. You want my help, yes?" The pup had to be smart enough to know that his friend needed warmth, quickly.

"HE'S GONNA DIE?! WELL HURRY UP THEN TAKE HIM." With a fast mouth and an even quicker swipe, the viscling grabbed Dominik's paw and pulled him towards 'Tim'. The male huffed, batted away the child's paws, and quickly slung the passed out viscet over his back.

"Follow." The adult bluntly said, and began his trek back home. The viscling followed, scared for his friend and hopeful that he would survive.

Dominik laid the viscet down in a pile of warm, soft fur hides. After making sure the viscet's breathing was stable, Dominik began putting some firewood into a small pit that was lined with rocks, and started a fire. Warmth spread throughout the small but comfortable home, and the viscling who followed him seemed to be content, and was dozing off next to his friend. As both of the foreign viscets slept, Dominik started preparing the fish he had caught the day before, to cook on the fire for them to eat.

As he speared a sharpened stick through one of the fish, he heard a small groan come from the pile of fur behind him. Turning around, he noticed the bigger viscet slowly waking up. In a deep but cracked voice he mumbled, "Ah... where?.."

Gently to not startle him, Dominik spoke up. "You are in my home. I found you in the snow while I was hiking," with a small smirk, he pointed to the fish in his paws with his nose. "You like fish, yes?"

The viscet shortly nodded. "Anything good. Thank you," He then noticed the viscling that was laying next to him, and sighed through his nose. "Keaton OK?"

So that's the child's name. "Yes, your friend is fine. Very hyper," Dominik mumbled the last part under his breath. The visclings in his town usually aren't as hyper as this one, and were more respectable. He finished cooking the fish, and gave two of them to the other viscet. "Eat," he stated.

The viscet began eating his portion of fish, and waved the other stick under Keaton's nose. As if on cue, he stirred. "Mmm... isthatfood?" the viscling mumbled as he woke up. He opened his eyes to see the fish being waved over his face. "Gimme!" Quickly snatching it out of his friend's hands, the pup began chowing down on the crispy meal, and all three of them ate in silence (well, for the most part, as Keaton was eating obnoxiously loud).

"How did you get lost in the snow? There was no blizzard today", Dominik asked as they finished their food. Keaton didn't seem to be listening, but the adult viscet was having trouble with the remembering.

"..Don't remember.. Cold," The viscet's speech was broken and unorganized as well. He seems to have memory problems.

"Don't worry about it, am just curious," Dominik waved it off. "You do need better protection. Too cold for you," The viscet then went to look in his chest for any spare homemade coats that would fit the two. Grabbing them, he motioned for them to stand so he could put them on, and they complied.

The coats fit perfectly, which satisfied Dominik. He also grabbed a spare satchel and put some items in it to help the two viscets out on their journey. He slung it over the other adult's shoulders and nodded to himself. "Good, good. You will survive in winter now," he said.

The brown viscet had a grateful look on his face as he studied the coat around his body. "Thank you," he looked up. "Name?"

"Dominik, glad to help. You are?" Keaton had called him 'Tim', but he wasn't sure if that was actually his name or not.

"Timaeus." Nodding in understanding, Dominik opened the door, and the cold gust of air came above them. He patted Timaeus on the back and playfully looked down at Keaton.

"Thank you mister!!!! You saved Tim's life!" The viscling yelled, as the two set off again. Dominik hopes that they will survive, especially now that they have better equipment with them. Going back into his house, the viscet puts out the fire and suddenly remembers that he needed to go fishing. Oh well, he can do that tomorrow.... For now, he had to go watch the aurora borealis.
