Username: xxxxxxxxxxx Name:xxxxxxxxxxx Gender: xxxxxxxxxxx Signature & Advertisement:
DragonCave xxxxxxxxxxx Rey xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Male xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Siggy stamp, trading rules.
Personality:
- Rey is the son of a very politically powerful- and somewhat corrupt- viscet and has lived a relatively easy life. He was raised to be very gentleman-like and a smooth-talker, making him efficient in any form of persuasion. However, Rey very much dislikes the untrustworthy world of politics, would rather not be forced to heckle someone. Because of his past (later to be explained) Rey struggles not to view his emotions as a weakness, and more often than not puts up an impassible, intimidating face to hide them. He has an extremely hard time forming close bonds that keep. To this day, Rey only has one close friend, a friend from his childhood who managed to get to know him before his father's harsh reality sunk it's teeth into him. That's not to say that's his only friend, because he has a few others, but that friend is definitely the only close one. (Will dig farther in his personality throughout the form)
- Having grown up the way he did, Rey can't help but enjoy the finer things in life. He enjoys being able to spend some money on himself or Bastion and not worry about it, and his guilty pleasure is having the pool to himself, and occasionally Bastion. He also takes some satisfaction in being able to donate some of that wealth to people who weren't so fortunate. The thing that notably never fails to bring a a grin to his face is spending time with Bastion- his one and only childhood friend, and his saving grace. Bastion is undoubtedly Rey's ray of sunshine. (That's not a pun pls don't kill me)
- Unfortunately, there seems not to be a shortage of things that Rey dislikes. First off, he would let nearly anyone know that he isn't particularly fond of his father or his less-than-authentic work. He doesn't like that fact that his father had tried preening him to follow in his footsteps, either. Rey despises storms and unfriendly weather in general- they seem to be his one irrational fear. One thing that's close be being the thing he dislikes the most would be people who try to use him for his money. He know's he's wealthy, and so he has to always be on the lookout for people trying to take advantage of him. The thing that Rey hates the most though is being judged, which seems to be linked to him viewing his own emotions as a weakness. The thing he hates about being judged is that he can't ever know what that person is actually thinking about him. Do they think he's a powerful, respectable viscet? Or do they take him for cold, uncaring, and hateful because of him only showing that face to most people? There's no way for him to know, and he can't let go of it.

- • Bastion- Bastion is the aforementioned one and only close friend that Rey has. Bastion is Rey's rock and has helped Rey more than either of them even know. Bastion was the son of of one a somewhat poor maid that worked for Rey's father, and so was often with his mother at work. As a result, Bastion was essentially the only interaction that Rey ever had with someone his own age. However, upon meeting, Rey and Bastion were actually rather wary of each other. Rey had heard his father command around the maids, and so thought that their families were supposed to be told what to do. Bastion's mother had also spoken poorly of Rey's father on some occaions, so Bastion thought that Rey might be corrupt and stuck up. However, time together would prove that the two would get along phenomenally well, in spite of Rey's father's disapproval. As time when on, the duo only got closer, and because of they way they were raised - not ever having been taught social norms- they had no problem displaying it. There was a point when many workers in Rey's home had begun to think that the two were actually a pair, they were rarely if ever apart and constantly physically in contact somehow. Eventually it dawned on the workers that the relationship was platonic, and they the pair had no idea that what they were doing could be interpreted differently. After Bastion's mother's death, Rey for the first time asked his father to use his power for sometime- to be able to have Bastion live with them. Their argument was accepted, and Bastion was moved in and sharing a nest with Rey before they had even registered what happened. (My apologies for this being so long but I got excited they're just so pure)
• Bellatrix- Bellatrix, or as most people call her, Bella was the host of the party that Rey has bought his mask and cape for. Bella had first known Bastion and invited him and a friend to the party. Initially, Bella had been quite smitten with Rey. He spoke intelligently, was exceedingly polite, and was an absolute entertainer. Of course, Rey had no idea that his mannerisms could be found attractive, so he was very clueless. Luckily for Bella, she realized that he couldn't help it, and the attraction quickly faded. After being properly introduced by Bastion though, they continued to talk and have a healthy friendship.
• Oscar- Oscar was another party goer at Bella's party. The best friend of Bella, he was instantly wary of Rey when he realized that Bella was smitten. He wasn't actually jealous, but more protective in a big brother way. Either way, Oscar realized that Rey really had no intention of looking for a date, and that was just his personality. Once Bella started hanging around Bastion and Rey, Oscar gave in and started to tag along. Over time, him and Rey started to form a friendship, not anywhere as close as Rey and Bastion's, but a wholesome friendship none the less. It's not uncommon for him, Bastion, and Rey to hang out for some "guy time". They kind of have a dude-bro relationship. A prime example of their friendship.
- This refined and charismatic viscet has a favorite food that most people can't stand to look at- licorice. He remembered his mother raving about it when he was very young, but at the time he couldn't stand the taste, like most people. As he aged, he got more curious about the small black things shapes that some people dared to call "candy". Lo and behold, his father happened to have a client of Dutch heritage. This client, after being given financial support by his father in exchange for stock, decided to give him some licorice as a token of appreciation. Needless to say, it ended up in Rey's possession. Rey promptly popped open the bag and tried some, and much to his surprise, he loved them, even if he get some weird looks from Bastion.

- • History
- Rey, as mentioned earlier and throughout the form, was born to a very politically powerful father. With the power, however, came money- and with that came corruption. Rey had always known on some level that his father's work wasn't entirely smiled upon, but he never bothered to question it, afraid of what the answer might be. Rey's mother - who was his primary care giver up until that point- had died when he was very young, and so the responsibility of bringing up the young viscet was dumped upon his father. His father had begun to teach him how to follow in his footsteps. Rey learned how to work a deal, speak smoothly, charm people, and hold himself with power- all under his father's instruction. During all of this, Rey knew somewhere in his heart that he wasn't entirely okay with what his father was telling him to do, and often found comfort in Bastion for it. "Just because you're learning things that are used for bad things, it doesn't mean that you will use them for bad things", Bastion would often repeat this like a mantra to Rey. Through the years, Rey and his father had plenty of ups and downs, but there were two major fights that almost resulted in Rey almost being thrown out of the house. Both of these fights were while Rey and Bastion were in their teens. Rey's father had noticed that the two had become insuperably close- to the point were Rey would constantly try cutting his lessons short to be with Bastion. This angered his father greatly- he viewed it as disrespect. He insisted that Bastion move out or try finding a relative to live with. Rey was outraged, and threatened to move out on his own and take Bastion with him, which would leave his father without a heir. This eventually sparked the second major fight. Once the thought came to him for the first time that his son might not want to be his heir, his father confronted him about it. The resulting fight was inconclusive, and because of this there is lasting tension.
- Bastion and Rey were young, in thier early teens. Bastion couldn't find Rey anywhere- which was odd, considering that he was usually running down the hall to meet him whenever Bastion walked in. Bastion had been out doing a few errands, and decided to come home when it started thundering. Oh. How could he have forgotten? Rey was nearly deathly afraid of thunder storms, he was probably hiding in some closet freaking out, while Bastion was just standing there dumbstruck. Bastion quickly slammed the door shut with his tail and called out, "Rey! Where are you? Are you okay?". No answer aside from Rey's father telling him to be quiet, he should have seen that coming. Bastion decided to ignore him and continued to run up and down the halls, calling out for Rey. Still no answer, which was very concerning to him. Eventually he realized that he should be looking upstairs, and hauled himself up the stairs with little regard to his own safety. The thunder was louder now, probably getting closer to them. Great, a cliche, what else? Bastion irritably thought while still calling out to his unaccounted for friend. After searching both of the bathrooms, Rey's father's room and bathroom, the upstairs living room, and the storage closet, he finally concluded that Rey had to be in their shared bedroom. How was that not the first place I thought to look? Bastion ran once again down the hall and burst into their room. "Rey! Where are you for god's sake?" He called out, finally hearing a small thump in reply. He looked over to the bed, seeing Rey's purple and cream tail poking out from behind it. He walked over to Rey, seeing him curled into a ball, wrapped in seemingly every linen formerly on their bed. Rey called out to him, albeit weakly, "Bast- the strom..", he was interupted by a startlingly loud clap of thunder, causing him to sqeak rather pitifully and curl up tighter. Bastion, not entirely knowing what to do, simply sat down and curled around Rey. He'd wait out the storm with him.
- This mask is actually not common attire for Rey, but the mask and the cape and tail ring that accompany it are things that he always looks forward to wearing. When he was in his later teens, after him and his father had fought, was the first time he had worn them. It was Bastion's idea actually; he had found out about a masquerade/costume party being hosted by some others across town. So that night, they both decided to sneak out to get costumes and go to the party. Bastion had found a very fitting set of knight's armor before sighting the mask, cape, and tail ring set. Ecstatic, he made Rey try them on only to see that it fit perfectly. Once purchasing their goods they rushed to put them back on and proceeded to head towards the party, which ended up being considerably fun. Bastion and Rey not hide their special gear from Rey's father just so they can use them to go out to parties like the first.
- Rey (not to be confused with Ray) is a Spanish name literally translating to "King".
