Walking in a small town that's quite and restful. Small little
sounds of feet hitting the soft grass that tickled their feet, with the
sound of small tweets of the bird that fly above him. Looking around
was a small little river that ran down into the small town.

Taking in a small breath, he walked a long a small wooden
porch that sat above the small lake with clear blue water
with fish swimming around.

With one movement he sat down onto the creaky porch.
He looked down and saw so many things in the water.

Slowly a small movement in the water near the bank started
to come over to him. He looked over and saw a long small
body that went to him.

Something didn't click into his head to move, it told him
to stay and watch the unknown creature to come closer.
He felt tried and tried as it came closer and closer to him
but he didn't do anything about it.

Then everything went blank. the feeling of warmth around
him was too nice for his body, the signs of fish danced around
him then small leafs and vines came into this 'dream' he thought.

Thinking of sadness went over him as he eyes started to open more
and more seeing the light night sky with white dots all around.
He was warm and cold but his body can't choose it. With that
he felt something move around him, looking down he saw
the creature but more bigger around him with it's
light blue scales and white hair that flowed in the water
under him.

It snapped into his head, he was going to die. But no,
the creature moved around him like a snake and went
off into the deep lake away from him and the small town
that lead.

finally moved his body feeling water around him that was
cold like ice. Quickly getting out he didn't feel pain anywhere
but the shapes of koi fish, leafs and flowers pattered his
fur. Down his arms and back.

That was what the creature left behind, a new self of him.

Hey guys, apologies for taking so long. I had a few guest judges step in to assist me with these competitions to find the best winner which was really difficult. I was excited about these prompts and you all delivered your take beautifully! Unfortunately, as always there can only be one winner in the end.


And that winner is... congratulations high noon !
I loved the writing and the air of caution behind each word, leading you slowly into an interesting tale. The simple object played to the history beautifully and I quite enjoyed it overall.


Still a big "well done" to everyone who entered! You all did fabulous despite losing and thank you for letting me read your forms.
