Her pelt made her parents reminisce about their adventures as kits around the raspberry bushes outside of the camp. They named their single kit after an extremely fond and almost forgotten memory, bringing joy and love into their lives once more.

When Bristlestar stumbled upon this rather small tom while out doing patrols,
the peculiar cat in question was found underneath a maple tree within the heart of the training grounds.
Bristle didn’t spot them immediately as it was the middle of the dry leaf season.
The tom was sheltered within a pile of leaves from the maple and blended in quite well
which was something Bristlestar admired, hence the name Mapleleaf.

Flame - Named after his flame coloured fur, and unpredictable personality. Just like how a fire can change from a small flame, to a roaring inferno. Flamestripe's personality can change from being kind and cheerful, to fierce and aggressive within the blink of an eye. It was this personality, that strongly reminded Dawnstar of the untameable flame, that was capable of causing both destruction and providing warmth during winter. Thus, she viewed the prefix 'Flame' as being a suitable name for the tom.

Stripe - Given to him in honour of his stripe-like markings.
