Prompt: I really love peppermint hot chocolate! I either get a mix from the store and make it with almond milk. Either that or I'll make hot chocolate and add a little peppermint candy cane. It takes a long time for the candy cane to melt, but it still adds a great flavor. I've always loved hot chocolate since I was a child, and mint is one of my favorite flavors in general. Having mint in hot chocolate is the perfect mix for me. I always try to have a cup of hot chocolate on Christmas morning either before or after I've opened presents with my family.

Swallow used to be a kitty-pet, and used to love her owners during the holidays. While cats can't have chocolate, her owner would give her a saucer with warm milk with a side of marshmallows and tuna flavored cat cookies. She misses it a lot, but will always remember the sweet flavor. Instead, during the holidays, she celebrates by gifting the kittens with warm milk. It was so long ago that she was given these treats yet she won't forget how it tasted. She explains the sweetness and kindness of her owners, and tries to convince the clan members two-leg's aren't so bad.

No one is convinced however, as she's the only ex kitty-pet that remembers her old home fondly. She would describe the treats to be the shape of trees, and how it convinced her to leave home to see them. How the taste made her think of wild prey, and how she wanted to experience that life. She can't go back, and she doesn't want to, but a part of her will always look back at those pampered days.

prompt: the treat i most associate with the holiday season is pot of gold chocolate. my family always get it for christmas parties and get togethers, and we never get it other times during the year so it really helps cement the idea of the holiday season. we won't be hanging out in person this year due to global events, but we still bought it so i'm happy (and i do plan on hosting a little zoom party with some friends).
