Pennata Draco A very common species, the pennata draco, or feathered dragon, are known for their vibrant plumage and great stature. It is said that the more stripes on the tail of a feathered dragon can tell whether or not the dragon is in tune with arcane magic. Featherless breeds of feathered dragon exist, though they are less common. Feathered dragons can be found much shorter than average, thusly named munchkin dragons.

Munchkin Dragon,
Parva Draco Highly sought after due to its smaller stature in comparison to other dragons, the parva draco, or munchkin dragon, make great companions for children. This species was once hunted for its feathers, and currently 85% of the population have been domesticated. In the wild, the plumage is used to attract a mate. The munchkin is a smaller breed in the feathered dragon family.

Middle Dragon,
Media Draco The middle dragon, or media draco, is smaller than the average feathered dragon, and taller than the average munchkin dragon, both of which are in the same family as the middle dragon. There are almost none existing in the wild, save for a few ferals who were abandoned or escaped their domestic homes. They enjoy the company of other dragons, going so far as to travel long distances in search of companions.

Snail Dragon,
Cochlea Draco Cochlea Draco, or more commonly known as the snail dragon, are found anywhere near water. The mucus that they produce have healing properties, such as clearing up rashes and soothing burns. A fun fact about snail dragons is that they can breed asexually.

Marble Fox Dragon,
Marmoreo Referunt Draconis Marmoreo referunt draconis, or marble fox dragon, are very energetic. They love to play and glide around, and are fiercely loyal. They will exhaust themselves when it comes to defending their territory, so use caution when you find one in the wild.

Snap Dragon,
Frangeretur Draco Frageretur draco, or the snap dragon, are stout in stature and very playful. They're typically found around meadows, where they hide and sleep amongst flowers. Docile unless aggrevated, snap dragons may carry flowers from their home elsewhere to leave as gifts. Their drool is also akin to honey, sweet and viscous.

Serpent Dragon,
Serpens Draco Legless and adorable, the serpens draco, commonly known as serpent dragons, can be found all over the world. They have glorious wings, and may occasionally adorn them with treasures and trinkets that they find. Sizes vary, as the young are very small, but they can grow to be much larger.

Fly Dragon,
Volant Draco The volant draco, more commonly known as the fly dragon, are known to be symbols of great fortune. They're a very playful species, and may play jokes on anything that travels near its nest. They often travel solo, but flocks have been recorded throughout history.

Water Dragon,
Draco Aqua Draco Aqua, more commonly known as the water dragon, is a species that comes in various sizes, though they tend to lean on the larger side. They have powerful legs and are experts at running on land. Avoid the water where they live; they swim faster than they run.
