Elsie has never known the pleasure of being able to settle. Her life up until this
point has been filled with constant change and the complete unknown. Born on
the streets of Mexico City, Elsie lingered close to her mom for a few months be-
fore they were separated.Desperate for care, a flurry of interacting with people
and begging for scraps resulted in a trip back to Yukon, Canada. Having been so
young, Elsie didn't have much trouble adjusting to the dramatic change in temp-
erature, but she did struggle to get used to the back-and-forth with her humans,
who would shower her with affection one moment and completely ignore her the
next. Unbeknownst to Elsie, her humans received an eviction notice shortly after
Elsie had turned two.They turned her out as per usual,but never opened the door
for her to return.She was on her own again,relying on nature's offerings to survive.

Elsie is a go-getter. She has plans, goals, and doesn't see a point in waiting around for
it to happen. She has pretty good intuition, and has been working on trusting her big

The chilly northern Canadian weather has never bothered
Kodiac.He belonged to a loving and active family that lived
north of north for quite some time.Kodiac was a registered
sled dog who was introduced to the mode of transportation
by his family for personal use,but was later enrolled in sled
competitions.When his family moved south of Yukon,Kodiac
stopped competing, but his humans still made use of this
tactic during the colder months. Even though they lived in
a bordering town, his family still evacuated a few months
ago. A big part of Kodiac is in denial about their disappear-
ance,clinging onto hope that they will return one day soon.
