What are Khimaira Friesians?:
Khimaira Friesians are a "normal" friesian breed with all characteristics of a friesian and a average height from 15 to 17 hands, but even 18 hands can occur. The first born Khimaira was mistaked for a chimera horse. But a genetic test showed otherwise, there wasn't a second DNA but a complete new and unknown gen. Because this gen makes the friesian look like a chimera it was named khimaira. khimaira doesn't produce a complete new dna coat and therefor it can only lighten or darken the base coat of the horse. Till now only the paint khimaira is known that makes the khimaira coloration looks like tobiano, overo, sabino or splash. But we believe that there will be more khimaira variations out there and we still try to breed them. Appaloosas are not known till now, but we have some great friesian mixed horses with appaloosa patterns, so we are sure to deliver them to you in a short amount of time.

ok. so... I'm doing this because I'm only 1 person and my skills are not top notch. It may have been my creation/idea, but I do not have the skills to portray them in a way that matches my vision. That's why I'm asking you for help.
What are ottercats?

Rules:
1. don't remove the artist search signature
1a. you can only remove/invisible my signature if you're making a new lineart/pose
2. if you're making a new pose/lineart, beware that it still has to resemble a mix between an otter and a cat (yes, it can lean more towards the one of the other)
3. have fun, be creative, do your thinggg, don't be scared by the massive text lol.
Additional notes:
You're gonna have to be able to redraw your addition on the adoptions/breeding page if you're accepted on to the team.
You can do line edits, no worries. I know my lines can be a bit confusing sometimes.

Looking for: (prone to change)
- There are currently 5 ottercat lines/poses, and the one labeled "oc2" is really bad by my personal standards, but I currently lack the skills to fix it- so I'm begging for help with that one (up for interpretation, though it was drawn with the idea of it leaning towards the otter genes)
- I need traits drawn ex. fur, but I'm pretty bad at hair. (a full list of traits is available below)
- New poses/lines (doesn't have to follow my style exactly, just has to resemble the species)
- Able to do a variety of (cat) patterns (stripes, tortoiseshell, calico, bicolor, painted, van, special marks like stars or hearts)

Note: If you choose to add traits, you don't have to do all of them, just choose a category (fur, tail, etc. or Cat, Otter, Mutation). Don't worry about future/new lines, they aren't available in this artist search, and I/we will update the new lines ourselves.

There are no colouring restrictions, it would just be considered a mutation if it's an unnatural colour like green, purple, or pink.
Normal colour schemes for otters are black, and various shades of brown and white. Normal colour schemes for cats are white, red/orange, blue, black, cream, cinnamon, fawn, and brown.

xxxx1. a fictional species of big cat with magical properties, native to the domains of land arcana. can shift between feral/quadrupedal form (typical lion build) and anthro/bipedal form (walk on two legs, have hands and opposable thumbs for humantype craft). divided into the three subspecies of panfaera, pandemona, and pangelic, as well as the unclassed panneutroid.

arcanthera is seeking artists! show me what you can do and you have a chance at being added as an official artist to the staff roster. i'm looking for people who are comfortable with designing characters, making line edits and navigating the oekaki program, as well as an understanding of the guidelines and an interest in lore-based adopts.

the guidelines

• familiarize yourself with the rules of the species before entering.
  
• familiarize yourself with the lore of the species, especially essential design elements and rules.
• don't make a cover, post each entry individually.
• feel free to ask questions or clarify anything, whether about the adopts, the designs or the lore.
• enter only if you have sure interest in becoming an artist.
• you must make at least three entries to be considered. there is no limit on the number of entries you can make.
• entries that the community expresses interest in may be converted into adopts. by entering you accept this possibility.

• i will message you about accepting an artist position.
• once you have been added to the lines, you can start making adopts!
• feel free to tell me any suggestions for the species, i'm still building a lot of the groundwork and have future stuff planned.
• a community discord will be made if this species picks up enough interest.
• you are granted a staff custom upon hire. once you have created three adopts on the main page, you may redeem your first custom. there is no limit to the edits, so long as they are in line with the design guidelines. future staff custom guidelines will be put up eventually.
  
  the design guidelines
• keep my signature and the 'fake' sign visible.
• be familiar with and follow the traits and alignments.
• generally, avoid using direct, tangible symbols as markings. lean more to natural designs based from nature, or abstract patterning.
• if the wings intersect the mane, erase the intersecting parts of the back wing to have the mane in between the two wings.
• the extra reference is optional to fill out/customize/complete. you can leave it be if you wish.
• any add-ons like shading/texture can count as modifications to the lines.
• you have to come up with a passive ability for each entry as well. refer to official adopts to see examples of passive abilities.

Beaumont Buffalo is looking to add to the team!
Since the species is still fresh several artists will be taken on quickly to help upkeep a steady flow of adopts.
There may also be some guest artists chosen as well. If you have a preference towards full-time or guest please let me know!
Full-time will have access to the perks exactly as listed below.
Guest artists will receive 1 upgraded custom per term, as long as they've met the minimum given.
Full-time artists will require a Discord account for server access as that is where important communication will take place.
Guest artists are not required to be on the server but it is preferred.

For your application, I am looking for a single sheet with 4 designs. NEW meant to put at least a single sheet, feel free to do multiple!
I'm not expecting gene mastery right away but you should be able to at least list the phenotype you chose to create.
You are allowed to edit the lineart and the horns, there are no requirements for edits though!
Mostly just have fun with it and if you want any advice on how I do my designs or achieve a certain look to the lineart feel free to ask.

Activity minimums are simply 4 free buffalo a month.
Can be a mix of adopts and breedings, 2:2 or 3:1 or 4 of a kind.
There are no consequences for not meeting the minimum just fewer benefits as outlined below.
However, perks will be put on hold if there are more than 4 months of zero activity.
Artists meeting the activity minimum are allowed to sell customs and breedings through the Discord shop.

STAFF POSITION PERKS

Standard staff customs will be given to all members of staff regardless of position and activity that month. If left unused within that month, staff still maintain the custom. Standard staff customs have a rarity of Tier 3 and no default benefits. Six standard staff customs may be combined to become an upgraded staff custom.

Upgraded staff customs can be earned by any member of staff regardless of position as long as they’ve met the activity minimum for their position within that month. If left unused within a month, staff still maintain that custom. Upgraded staff customs have a rarity of Tier 5 and +1 breeding slot by default. Three upgraded staff customs may be combined to become a deluxe staff custom once a year.

Deluxe staff customs can be earned by any member of staff regardless of position as long as they’ve met their activity minimum consistently for twelve months. One additional deluxe staff custom may be earned by combining upgraded customs. If left unused within a month, staff still maintain that custom. Deluxe staff customs have a rarity of Tier 6 with an expression and +1 breeding slot by default.

Three upgraded staff breedings may be combined to become a deluxe staff breeding once a year.

Deluxe staff breedings can be earned by any member of staff regardless of position as long as they’ve met their activity minimum consistently for twelve months. One additional deluxe staff breeding may be earned by combining upgraded breedings. If left unused within a month, staff still maintain that breeding. Deluxe staff breedings do not use parent slots (considered a +1 slot to all parents) and ignores any cooldowns. The artist may choose the exact outcome of the pairing and may make them twins without a roll.

VERY Simple on-base design, was struggling with actually using the base bc I'm absolutely not used to doing so in Oekaki.

Full time artist:
~ If you are chosen as a full-time artist, you will be added to the permissions list to color in the base lines. As a full time artist, you will receive a monthly wage of Luni-tokens (only in months when you make adopts, even if it's only one a month), one custom rare every month (to either keep as your own or to adopt out, you may make them yourself or you may ask another artist to make them for you), and one Ultra Rare custom a year (same guidelines as the monthly rare). You may also turn all of your entries here into official Lunikrins, to keep or to adopt out.

Guest artist:
~ If you are chosen as a guest artist, you may choose which month/months (up to 3) you wish to be an artist in. As a guest artist, you will receive Luni-tokens for the month(s) you are a guest artist for, up to 3 (maximum) custom rare Lunikrin(s) (based on how many months you're a guest for), and a potion bottle for ONE Ultra Rare trait to use on any custom Lunikrin you get. You may also turn up to 3 of your entries here into official Lunikrins, to keep or adopt out.

Runners Up:
~ If I (Inkeyu) like your design, but aren't quite the right fit as a full time/guest artist, you will still receive a randomly generated amount of Luni-tokens, one custom rare Lunikrin (to be made by a full time/guest artist), and may make up to 2 of your entries here into official Lunikrins, to be kept and added to your own personal stables.
