I'd imagine them to sound like the artist of Fish in a Birdcage, masculine but soft. The vibes of this playlist highlight the dreams she had for exploring, the connection she had with her crewmates, and the loneliness she faced later when they were separated.

Just as her species inspiration's sake (after Chinese crested dogs), Faye spent an early life aboard ships. His childhood was spent working at the docks from the moment he was old enough for his father to bring him along, starting with the menial tasks of being an errand boy to the older fable. Between deliveries and stories of lands laid beyond his horizons, Jules came to dream of a bigger life where he could get away from the confines of their otherwise boring port town and the quiet neglect of his family, stricken by wanderlust. Eventually, as he gets older and more familiar with the opportunistic fables who frequent the waters and return to the docks, he decides to take a leap for his uncertain future. With whispers and shadowed dealings between themself and one of the more suspicious visitors to the docks, Jules abandons his cargo coordination position, stowing away on one of those very ships as the newest member to a pirate crew.

For their part, Jules keeps their head down and spends this initial period learning as much as he can. While graced with an otherwise coy appearance and prone to less-than-intimidating shivering whether cold or just excited, Jules is actually a very intelligent fable who didn't get the space to exercise it sooner. They learn quickly on deck and is eager to do so, adaptable in uncouth situations and a prime problem solver. His initial crew doesn't last too terribly long, however, as conflict rises between the members under a selfish captain, and Jules slips away in the night of one of their stops in a new town much more technologically advanced than he knew possible. He takes his newfound pirating skills to the skies among an entirely new kind of ship.

Of course, hijinks of the airborne pirate life ensue. Some things Jules' new crew engages in are certainly morally ambiguous, often rife with grand thievery and sometimes foolish rivalry. It's a blend of the liveliness of adventure and thrill-seeking with the long nights of travel between lands and islands beyond Faye's childhood dreams. It's within this crew that Jules also explores herself with the high wind in her fur, taking a personal interest in foreign medicines and practices along the way.

In their travels, Jules grew very close to another fable. They were initially very suspicious of one another, but an unlikely companionship blossomed between them, and despite herself, Jules found herself becoming enamored with the other fable, an affection that settled deep in her bones. [There is no such fable I have in mind here yet, but trust... lore...] However, before Jules mustered the strength to truly realize these harbored feelings, tragedy struck and split apart the crew. Their ship was destroyed, the fables having either fled and scattered, or been captured by an enemy of the skies. Jules doesn't know where they've all ended up, even whether they're all still alive, and carries the weight of that uncertainty and grief like an impossible boulder. Her inner circle now tends to be restricted to few, but she’s a very loyal fable to those she cares about, for better or worse.

In her efforts to recover from the tragedy, injured and emotionally askew, Jules sought refuge in a new town nearby under the name Faye, a town significantly different than which she hails. She doesn't remember when her stay no longer became so temporary, when the town gripped her rest like crawling ivy. Faye still sports the green jeweled treasures of Jules' adventures.

Once both a sea-bound fable *and* an airborne fable, Faye grounds herself in the new town. She trades the scents of saltwater and thunderstorms for the scent of shea butter and various medicinal herbs because of the topicals she uses to care for herself and the apothecary she has now hunkered herself down in. As much as she still yearns for adventure, there are the simple creature comforts of promised warm bubble baths and quiet evenings on stable ground under the trees. The apothecary boasts a gorgeous greenhouse and large, stained windows.

Faye buries herself in her new interest, but within time, she shares the occasional story from her pirating days with local youths. While Faye hasn't completely turned around from a life of questionable decisions, she doubles as an informant, using her gentled charms as a means of gathering information from chatty visitors who visit her budding apothecary in search of something to soothe what ails them. All the while, she quietly prods travelers as to whether they may have seen the fables she used to know.
