How do I get an account and is it free?

Yes, signing up for an account is free, you don't event have to sign up to adopt pets, but if you want somewhere to keep your pets then you can make a free account. To make an account just sign up to the forum and then you can log into the main site using your forum username and password. When you adopt a pet it'll be kept on your account, and it'll give you a copy/pastie code which you can put on websites/forum signatures etc and your adopted pets will show up there :) if you don't have anywhere to show off your pets, you're welcome to put your pets in the Chicken Smoothie forum.

How do I choose a secure password?

A secure password contains a mixture of both letters and numbers. To stop people from guessing your password, it must not contain any of the words in your name or your nickname. You should use a different password on each site you subscribe to, so that if somebody guesses your password they will not get access to all your websites!

How do I change my password?

Your password settings are found in your User Control Panel linked at the top of the forums. The user account settings page there lets you change your password.

Help, I forgot my password!

No problem, just go to the log-in page and click "I forgot my password". Follow the instructions to get a new password emailed to your board email address.

How do I rename my account?

You can easily rename your own account from your User Control Panel linked near the top of the forum.

Please do not try to "rename" your account by creating a new account and trading all of your pets over to it - you will be breaking the rule against having more than one account.

How do I delete my account?

Players can't delete their own accounts. Please contact an administrator to have your account deleted. Please note that deletion is final, we cannot recover a deleted account for you.

How do I get pets added to my account?

Sorry, we can't add pets that were adopted without an account to your account.

Can I share my account?

We'd really prefer it if you do not share your account with other people. Friends get into fights all the time and end up taking each other's pets away. If you give them your password, you are responsible for anything that your friends might do while they are using your account.
