~Wolvle~
Wool-val
"Mustelidae Lupus"
Otter/Weasel Wolf
General
Their general color comes in a range of browns&creams, and blacks/charcoals&grays. There are exceptions for the unnatural wolvle. Albino Wolvles are even more rare.
They have the body of a ferret, and the face of a dog. Their eyes are more feline in appearance (big and round). Due to a genetic separation, PLEASE REMEMBER their eyes are ALWAYS two different colors. Whether its totally different colors or two shades of a certain color- their eyes are never the same.
The paws of this animal are a mixture of wolf and ferret- They look like wolf paws, but split further up and have the finger-like appearance on ferret paws, which helps their grip and enables them to climb.
They have a unusually long (Little longer than their body length), luxurious tail. Despite the fluffy look, it is very strong and can hold a Wolvle's own weight easily, making it possible for them to hang by their tails.
Many have a row of dots along each side of their spine, though its not uncommon to see them without. These dots also can appear very similar to the base fur color, enough so that they are barely visible.
This species can swim extremely well, from birth, due to its similarities with otters and stoats.
The ears are long and rabbit-like, with a thick fringe of fur along the outside edge. In males, this fur is extremely bright and metallic (Females don't have shiny ear fur!!) (EXCEPTIONS ONLY for Albinos, (the fur fringe would then be a shiny silver color))- mostly with reds, oranges and yellows. The fur appears to flash when they move their heads (or even just their ears, which is common in displays of dominance) depending on where the light hits them. When camouflage is needed, the males can pin their ears back to hide the bright fur.
On average, Wolvles are twice the size of a large ferret, and usually never bigger than an otter.
These animals are very protective, curious, and intelligent.
They may choose to carry around items they find that are small enough. Remember, the wolvles are otter sized or smaller. Human things such as miniature Teddy bears or children's toys, car keys, socks, or anything small, interesting or shiney. The ferret part of them causes this "what's yours is mine" attitude with human trinkets.
They are open to new things, and are playful even when full grown.

Range & Diet
Wolvles are very adaptable. They can live in cold wintry climates, or the desert. In cold weather, they grow slightly thicker coats and fluffier tails. In hot areas, the fur is thinner and has less softness to it. Their body size is also different depending on their location. When food is plentiful, they are bigger and when it is scarce, they are small.
A wolvle's diet is widely omnivore. They can eat almost every food possible, apart from unnaturally occuring substances. This doesnt mean they can survive on one alone. Grass wont sustain a wolvle. They eat berries, wild edible plants, other mammals, up to the size of a large rabbit, fish, clams/snails, frogs, grubs and other insects, birds/eggs, snakes/scorpions (they are immune to many natural poisons and toxins), tree nuts, fruits and vegetables. Despite the wide range, they do need a blanced diet to survive. No matter where they are, they need some type of protein whether its from meat or certain plants.
Make-Your-Own:
The rules are changing for these. Most wolvles will now be free to adopt, (once artists are chosen) but you may still pay to make your own. If you dont want to make your own, but have specific preferences, Customs are also available once in a while from Senior Artists.
