Finally had some time to draw for myself I've been so busy lol.
Trying something a lil different and more of a paint-y style?

If I'm being completely honest half the time I guess! (Especially with fur) xD But something that really helps is looking at real images of lighting of a space, if I do get completely stumped I reference a sphere shading with its light source c: I'm by no means doing "proper" lighting lol but this was kinda the process for this piece specifically:

I ended up choosing my light source (the window).

Based on that I'm assuming it would be lighting up the back of the character so my shadows would be more in the front Shadows

I'll usually exaggerate the brightest areas where the light is going to hit the hardest.
Highlight

After that I end up puting in reflected light in areas I think would look nice but it's mostly trial and error! c:
