Chicoons are Arboreal Fruigivores that stand roughly 4 feet in height.
They have long, flexible necks, curly and stretchy tongues, floppy ears, a box-like head, wings on their head, and a flame that hovers by their tail!

They are highly intelligent creatures and can learn to communicate with any animal, however since they lack the necessary vocal cords to speak a verbal language they've learned to communicate and express their emotions through their headwings! Chicoon have proven to be wonderful and
friendly companions of anyone and can be often found in the company of humans.

Here’s a little backstory I (very quickly) cooked up because I felt inspired:

”He trots absentmindedly, stomping on the forests soft grass
Birch's mind swirls, thundering through thoughts rapidly. He understands on a fundamental level that his newfound responsibilities are his own burden to carry, but he’s drowning here: unable to keep up with no help from anyone. His pace quickens. He sighs as he looks over to the dusk-colored sky: it seems as though it's painting a gorgeous scene, as though the sky were its canvas. The trees were gorgeous; and the reflections on the pond serene.
The view was absolutely perfect.
For a brief moment, his worries dissipate. Then, he trips. Birch stumbles over the ground before collapsing. He clumsily climbs his way up, frustrated tears boiling to the surface. His face begins to bloom with a shocking shade of maroon. Birch whips around, all of his emotions bubbling over.
Until he sees what he stumbled over: a small, soft-looking rabbit.
All his anger seems to evaporate as his breathing slows. He walks over, quickly checking on the rabbit. He attempts to communicate with the small creature via flapping his wings, to no avail. Instead, the rabbit turns its head, confused.
So, Birch slowly bends his head down, offering it to the rabbit as a sort of peace offering.
The rabbit responded, pressing its little head against his, setting the stage for a beautiful friendship, and Birch's burden momentarily lightened.”
