black-tipped butterflies drift around her like silver souls (and maybe they are). like all fey, you can seek her out for fairy gold. but hers is of a different sort- inspiration that burns, that disappears if you look at it too hard. hers is for the dreamers, the lovers, the poets, and all who carry stars in their eyes (maybe that's why they love her so; stars on earth that they can touch).

they call her a thousand different things: goddess, demon. temptress, muse.
her lovers slip into mania from the wild joy of creation she grants. sculptures and music and poetry and her smile is coy through it all. but they feel her dancing away out of their reach, and they try, try, try to hold on. they desperately grasp onto her and break themselves like ships on rough waves, crashing onto the shoreline. it never works- and she devours them whole. a glimpse of auburn curls and green eyes is the last thing the victim ever sees.

but look at it this way: a thousand different names. Euterpe, Daphne, Cassandra, Titania. names that made her into what she is, scattered pieces and all. a wan smile as she sits through gifts laid at her feet, and watches as her lovers drive themselves to madness. she tries to leave, to save them, but it never works. their souls curl around her, haunting, accusing, restless. laurel twists in her hair and a raven cloak flutters in the wind. a muse, a spirit, a prophetess, a queen. she who falls in love, oh so easily. she calls herself Ophelia now, trades fairy gold for silver souls, wanting love but always watching as they chase the next inspired high until they run themselves off a cliff. she falls in love with every starry-eyed soul that crosses her path and loves them until they splinter apart under her force.

’please mama, please don’t leave me...please’

With that Kanua woke up from her slumber. It was mid morning already and the birds seem to have already been awake and about for a while. “That’s dream again,” she muttered to herself rubbing her left side temple. She looked about her cabin room. Tomorrow will be the date of her ‘wedding’ with Sir Noble. She didn’t love him, she was only marrying him for her ‘parents’ wanted her. Kanua was a orphan, she was adopted by a high class nobles. Some might say, she should be great full for what she has. But she can’t, they where never family to her. She was always expected to be perfect, but she’s not. Marrying a high noble would mean she could prove herself to her ‘parents.’

No. It’s not worth it. She keeps having these occurring dreams, or her birth mom leaving her in the woods. It is very unsettling, somethings wrong. She sat straight up. ‘I will go’ she whispered. With that she took a cloak and put it around her. This time she won’t try and prover herself to no one. She will love her life without being someone else’s ‘toy.’ With that she snuck out into the woods making sure no one else would see. She would run. She would run and not look bad. She would find the reason as to why she kept having that Dreams. Something is definitely up, was she actually abandoned or did something happen?
