How does she help her patients?:
More often than not death is a release, sometimes others that need to just can't let go. Amelia helps Eleonora and Micolash in this way, easing the suffering of others when sick or simply unwilling to let go. With her mother being a guide to spirits, and her father being a master of the mind, they run a successful medical practice. Not to mention the fact that Eleonora is a manner of the family that tends Death's shrine, most trust when she appears and tells them it's time to go but they can't help being stubborn. Amelia has a minor sense for disease as well, but the disease has to be intense enough to warrant an end and have no cure for her to sense it. No, she knows what the pull of a soul ready to depart feels like, what someone not ready feels like and what someone needing to go feels like. Ele is prohibited from using her death powers unless needed, so that's where Am steps up. She's a gentle, kind, understanding soul that makes sure others pass in peace, aided by Micolash who puts them to sleep beforehand.

She wanted to help others.
How could she not?
But her life was a curse and irony.
Her eyes and nose leaked a sickness that didn't affect her. Her jewel power was death. How could she help them?
Cover up.
She hid her face through her tears at her plight.
Covered her jewel to avoid scaring her patients from her.
Kept clean and hidden its as if she was a normal doctor.
As as dark humored joke she had her patients call her Dr. Lady.
She couldn't say Malady at them.
She was a metaphor for death posing as life.
She helped them all.
If close to death she could find them.
Surprisingly she could save her patients through natural medicine and tender care.
She could pretend her powers didn't exist.

If you go into the woods you can find help.
Stray from the trails and she will find you.
Injured and alone you called out unknowingly for her. Desperate for help she somehow knew you needed her.
Maybe it was her powers?
However the tail was covered so you didn't know really. She brought her new patient to a suspicious cave. The cave was covered in bottles and herbs.
Strangely she was inviting and treated your wounds. Herbs and bandages covered you. When cured she brought you to the trail safe. Turn to thank her and she had disappeared.
The mysterious didn't wish to be discovered.
You doubted you could find her again.

How does she help her patients?:
Caprese became a doctor because she wanted to ease the pain and fears of others. Death simas got their powers out of fear. Theirs is a misunderstood power still. Others often fear them because they think their power can bring harm. But much like Caprese, their power is harmless. Sadly, her powers also distress many of her patients. It hurts that her mere presence can distress others so. She just wanted to help people get better. So, she devised a plan. Sometimes, patients will come in full of despair. They think that, surely, they're not going to make it out this time. At night, she'll come in with the lights off. She'll gently tap them on the shoulder so they wake and not know why. They'll see her in her pale hood and mask, her jewel covered, and think she's a ghost. She'll talk to them and tell them to have hope. They're not dead yet. The doctors are doing their part, so they must do theirs and have hope.
