venom wings
OstiumAlas, or Venom Wings, are a proportionately canine winged mammal. They typically reside in rainforests or deserts,
with rarer varieties being found in the polar or plains regions. Although it appears they can be any land mammal colour, with a few unusual patterns, this has not been found to affect where they live. For example, ginger and black OstiumAlas have been found in the middle of antarctic!
Now, the OstiumAlas is not just a dog with wings. Far from it. For when did you ever see your friendly household pet with that kind of tail? The sting on the end of the OstiumAlas's tail holds venom, taken from the sacks on their cheeks. Similar to bees, if this sting is used or the sacks punctured, the OstiumAlas will either die or become fully blind, depending on how much venom is used. From what scientists have been able to learn, the venom runs through their veins and pumps their heart, and if too much is taken they will die. Because the essential liquid also causes the eyes to function, the OstiumAlas will go blind if they are lucky enough not to die.
However, they have only been found to sting under extreme threat, and are more prone to fleeing from danger than fighting. Because of their meek yet friendly nature, OstiumAli have been approved as a suitable household pet. Some have even been taken to farms and used as caretakers for chicks, lambs or calves. Although they aren't particularly strong due to their small size (approximately the same as a Nigerian Dwarf goat), they appear to have a very nurturing demeanor.
