the cold, depending on where your clan is located, can be unbearable.
prey is lacking and predators have gone into hiding. perhaps you should
be, too. be warned of extreme cold temperatures, snow, and starvation.

ＣＡＴＳ ＯＦ ＴＨＥ ＲＡＩＮＦＯＲＥＳＴ．．．
Cherrystar, sitting comfortably atop a tree, glanced down at her territory with a dismal expression on her face. She was prepared to hunt, like she had the day before, to fill her empty belly. Though the jungle was rich with prey, most of the prey had a level of protection that made it dangerous to hunt them. She was wary of the creatures that roamed the jungle, as she should be, and mainly stayed treeside unless she could find no birds to hunt. Her home was among the leaves, springing from branch to branch & feeling adrenaline everytime her claws hooked on the damp bark. However, being a long hair, the rain was an issue. It often made her feel heavy and unbalanced, but having lived there her whole life, it was something she was now familiar with. The weight and which trees would break or snap under her grip. Which places to shelter in during rain and which crevices to hide away from predators on the ground. Cherrystar shook out her dark pelt and stretched her legs, blinking calmly and beginning her hunt.

cherrystar stayed against the trees and made her way deeper into the jungle. eventually, she found an opening between two trees, and she could hear the sound of a slow moving river a couple feet ahead. cherrystar decided to stop here and wash her paws, and while doing so, she was able to claw a small fish that was swimming into some rocks. +2 FP, +2 XP
despite her keen efforts, cherrystar was unable to find any herbs or items on her patrol.

Tidefreeze curled her paws under her fluffy chest, a salty breeze ruffling the fur atop her back as she nestled amongst the beach grass surrounding her camp. The sun blazed bright and hot ahead, gulls shrieking in the distance as they dipped and dove at the ocean's foamy surface. The cat's stomach rumbled quietly and she realized the silvery fish the gulls brought out of the water were starting to look very tasty. She crawled forward on her belly, sand catching in the long strands of fur and coating the underside of her wispy tail.

Pawstep after pawstep, Tidefreeze crept towards the water's edge, the tide lapping at the shore and leaving foamy lines on the wet sand. She waded slowly through the waves, her fur floating up around her so she felt suddenly very light and weightless. Ahead she could see the sun reflecting on the silvery scales of minnows, schooling in an underwater dip in the terrain. She fell somewhat limp, floating more so there would be no sudden movements until the moment to strike was right.

It was so hot. Dodge was only out here because some dream cat told him to and he listened. How crazy was that? The jump from what the human’s called an ‘18-wheeler’ had sprained his right paw, leaving him stumbling through the scorching desert. It being summer didn’t help at all. Dodge panted, finally recalling what the pale cat in his dream had called him, ‘Houndstar’, somehow they knew about the dogs that had attacked him when he was younger. The cat had claimed that they spoke for the stars, and that Dodge would be the guide for them. Dodge really couldn’t focus on that at the moment, instead his thoughts were on food and water. Especially water.

It was a new day, and a new opportunity for Fallenstar to prove himself to his clanmates. He knew many of them still had their doubts about his ability to lead, considering his inexperience and slightly mischievous nature, but he was determined to change their minds. He had decided that he would go out on his own today. It had been pretty uneventful the past few days, and though that was a good thing, Fallenstar had to admit he was a bit bored.

It was still early, the sun was just beginning to rise when he padded out of the camp. The grasslands stretched before him, seeming to wave 'good morning' as a slight breeze passed through. Full of energy and eager for some action, he trotted out into the grasslands to see what kind of trouble he could cause.

Clearclan
milkstar watched the sunrise, taking a deep breath in before looking to the stream. she sidled over and sat at it's edge, lapping up the cool water while her mind drifted through her plans for the day. a quick hunt, a nice meal, and maybe some climbing? the trees were getting their leaves in early this year, and she was itching to climb up and watch them fall.

her ears perked at the sound a squirrel seemingly doing the same and, looking up, she was met with happy chattering as a pair of the critters chased each other around the tree. it made her huff with laughter, which sent the creatures fleeing off into the branches, where for now they were safe.

moving away from the stream, she moved deeper into the wooded area, stopping when she could hear the cars in the distance. she was close enough that the forest animals were less on edge, and she watched as prey scampered too and fro in front of her, silently waiting for her chance to pounce.
