"Whenever you can, help those in need," Softbriar's mother, Dawn, purred to her in the gentle tone she reserved for her kits.
It was one of her earliest memories, her mom would spend a lot of time telling her stories of the past. Something she always talked about was the place of whispering stars, where cats who gave up their life to help others went. Sometimes Softbriar would wake up in the middle of the night to find her mom gazing at the stars, as if she was receiving a message from them. As if broken from a spell, her mom would turn and pad over to her, giving her soft licks on her head to ease her back to sleep.
"You're going to be a very brave cat when you're older," Dawn would tell her this often, and Softbriar would nod.
It felt too quick as Softbriar grew old enough to leave to live on her own, as encouraged by her mother. Living as a loner, then joining a clan, and once she had her own kits she'd tell them the same as her mom had told her. Until her last hunt, an unwelcoming scent would be in the air, and a badger would be out of its den at the worst time. It would go after one of the other cats, and Softbriar would step in, giving enough time for the others to escape but leading to her death. She'd join Dawn in the place of whispering stars. Thunder boomed all around me, following the clashing of lightning bolts from the angered gods above. Raindrops fell hard against my fur, pelting me with small icy blasts that hit like needles through my body. Chills ran down my spine as I trod onward, in the only direction I could go; forward. The storm had dislodged the ground beneath me, sweeping me in the brutal force of the landslide.

Surviving that hadn't been easy; trees and rocks piled up all around me in a freefall with the mud and water, the rain and storm still raging above. Somehow I'd managed to crawl out of the rubble, although it felt as if I'd broken every bone in one of my legs, and I was covered in deep gashes from colliding with a broken tree branch at one point.

Only one thing kept me moving forward- seeing my family once more. I pushed the searing pain that tore through my body out of my mind, replacing it with thoughts of my mate and son back home. How worried they must be, with this storm raging and me having been out on a patrol when it came down.

I felt weaker and weaker, the pain and my wounds sapping my strength from me. My breaths came less and less frequently as I became dizzy. Crumbling to the ground, I managed to murmur my last words before death claimed me.

"I'm sorry for failing you, my love...."

Prompt;; Peachpelt will die from a battle between a cat, trying to protect her friend. Peachpelt looked like she was moving slowly, but she never gave up. During the last fight, she had looked like she given up. The enemy had given the final blow, and Peachpelt has fallen down. She decides to go to Starclan for her spirit to rest, in peace.

BrightWish stood at the edge of the camp. The newleaf breeze was warm and inviting during the dark night. The ground was still damp from the rain that washed over the whole crag the previous morning. As the moon grew higher over the forest, the rest of the water that hasn't dried yet sparkled and glittered. It was beautiful. BrightWish couldn't help but stare. Glistening, the water rippled. Cats of stars stepped slowly onto the water, leaving trails of stardust in the air. She must've fallen asleep.
The strange cats watched her as she tried to understand what was happening.
"Welcome, young one." The first cat spoke, its image slowly faded.
"Where am I?" BrightWish curiously asked, confused.
"Your with us now. You had ran from a large snake before plummeting to the bottom of the ravine."
"Wait, your saying I-"
"yes, young one. I am sorry, but we cannot bring you back. You will be missed by your tribe."
"But..what will happen now?"
"Who knows. You are with us now, however. Please, make yourself comfortable."
Brightwish agree'd. She still didn't remember anything of her death, but whatever happened she didn't wish to think about. Happy, BrightWish watched her old tribe from above.

Prompt;; The light she-cat gazed at the stars one final time. Her news gurgled out by blood in her throat. Her friend standing over her as the rest of the warriors finished the dog that had gotten I to the camp. Surrounded by blackness she relaxed, feeling weightless. Opening her eyes she saw two cats. One a pure white tom, the other an all black she cat. She knew she would have to choose. "Can't I go back? I want a restart at life. I didn't feel as though I fulfilled my duty to my clan yet." The two cats nodded and settled aside to allow a tiny kit before her.
"This will be you soon. Your soul will go with you, but not your memories," the black she cat said.
"In time you will arrive back in this clan, but for now you must decide," the white cat cooed, trying to lull her to the darkness. With a twitch of her head she followed the black cat to starclan, while the white tom glared holes into her pelt. "In time you will choose me," he howled behind her.
