The general area for the elbow is just about where the rib cage ends. There’s a little rise on the front(?) side of the arm that makes room for the elbow and gradually decreases to the wrist.
You can draw ovals and circles to get the general idea of the arm format.
(I dunno if this could even help you nor if this was even a tip at all (I’m so sorry if this fails you omg))
